Alan and his team took on a compicated project for our home and did an amazing job. Our large front porch had been built on wooden footings that were rotting out and needed to be replaced with concrete. In planning the project Alan also identified a problem with the structure of the porch itself that was contributing to the issues we were having. The crew resolved all the issues and even hand-dug the footings to avoid the damage that an excavator would have done. They were very professional, careful, clean, and good at communicating what was happening at all phases. The porch is now stable, level, and secure. They left the area around it in better shape than before th work was done. I then hired them to fix an issue with my roof which also came out great. Other neighbors have used Olde School with similar opinions.
Alan and his crew did a great job on our home renovations. They were on time and on budget and the work has been excellent. Highly recommend him.
Alan Gay and his crew at Olde School Renovations are pure professionals. Our house is 150 years old and they took the time and care to ensure that the repairs they made matched the period of the house and blended with the original work that was done 150 years ago. They were creative in solving some of the stickier wood replacements where today's lumber doesn't match what was used back then. But they also rebuilt a Cupola on our 20 year old garage that when completed looked like it was always there (complete with new weathervane). Their craftsmanship was the best I have seen since we have been back in New Hampshire. And best of all, their pricing was more than fair. I strongly recommend Alan and Olde School Renovations for your home repairs and remodeling needs!
Alan and his team were fantastic. They communicated daily about the project and did excellent work. They were professional and enjoyable to have around while working. I highly recommend Old School Renovations!!!!
Alan and his crew are amazing. I live in a very old home that needed a lot of work. Alan came in and gave me an estimate. I really appreciated that he listened to me and addressed every issue I brought up. He understood that we wanted to preserve and restore the integrity of the house while at the same time bring it up to and above today’s standards. His estimate was reasonable and fair. He worked very hard to stay within budget and was still able to deliver an amazing renovation. He ultimately replaced the roof, resided the house and put on an amazing deck, as well as correcting some very crooked doors and giving me some beautiful airtight windows. If Alan saw something that needed to be fixed along the way he would either fix it, or speak with us about our options, always keeping our budget in mind. The quality of his work is exceptional right down to the last detail. He and his crew were approachable and helpful. I honestly was very nervous about hiring a contractor after hearing so many horror stories from friends. Alan made the whole process stress free, and the outcome was Amazing!
