Olivera's General Sevices

Olivera's General Services is a Massachusetts outfit run hands-on by Alex Olivera, and the reviews on file are almost all about one thing: tree work — taking down trees close to a house without damage, grinding stumps, hauling off the mess the same visit or the next day. The company's site also lists landscaping, construction, painting, asphalt sealcoating and snow and ice management, and it says it's been operating for 12 years. The tree jobs described span several years and read the same way each time. In a January 2024 review, a homeowner got the lowest of four quotes for removing three trees and clearing large fallen limbs; in an August 2024 review, a customer described five pine stumps ground down, the mulch hauled away the next day, and a large rock — it took three men — moved out behind a fence. In a December 2023 review, Alex came out the day after a call, had his crew on site the same day, and finished a tree job inside an hour. Landscaping and cleanup work shows up too: an April 2025 review describes a quick, reasonably priced yard clean-up, and a December 2025 review describes two backyard trees removed with careful, respectful cleanup. Outside the yard, a January 2025 review describes the team replacing kitchen tile, and another from the same month describes a fast repair after someone ran into a mailbox. Across 170 Angi and HomeAdvisor ratings, 91% are five stars and 7% are four stars. One detail worth checking: the company's own site says 12 years in business, while Angi and HomeAdvisor list 15 — worth a quick confirmation, though nothing else in the record raises a flag. A solid, well-tested call for tree removal, stump grinding and yard cleanup, with a track record of taking on smaller general-service jobs too; get a written quote up front the way past customers describe doing.
