Outdoor Living Stone & Garden Design describes itself as a full service masonry and garden design company in Litchfield County, CT, focused on custom outdoor spaces, masonry and interior fireplaces. Its Houzz profile says Amy Hickingbotham and Remi Lleshi combined their skills to create the business. A 2017 Houzz customer wrote that the firm's work with stone, grading, water features, fire pits and plantings transformed their property, on a project that began in 2013 and was completed in the fall of 2016. A 2025 Houzz customer said Amy worked at their house for 2 years, then left without notice or a backup plan, and their landscaping became overgrown while it took many months to find someone else. That 2025 customer advised making sure you have a contract. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0641279, as active, held by Outdoor Living Stone and Garden Design.
Amy worked at my house for 2 years but abruptly left without notice, or offering a backup plan or providing referrals to anyone else. She left me stranded and it took many months to find someone else who could take care of my property. In the meantime, my landscaping became overgrown and neglected. It was a distressing and terrible experience, and very unprofessional. I would not recommend or make sure you have a contract.
This firm is beyond excellent! They are creative, attentive, reliable, and immensely talented. Their work with stone, grading, water features, fire pits, and plantings have transformed our property into a work of art. Our project began in 2013 and was completed the fall of 2016. It is magical!
