Patrick Handyman is one man in Framingham - Patrick Cloirec, per BBB, which records the LLC operating since April 2006 and accredited since December 2009 with an A+ grade. The pitch is deliberately narrow: carpentry and the small jobs a bigger contractor either won't take or would overcharge for, plus painting and wallpaper, drywall and insulation, doors and windows, electrical and plumbing repairs, cabinet work and winter snowplowing. Roofing and gas work are explicitly off the list. The written account of his work is one review. A customer writing in 2023 said they had called him for a number of issues around the house and that each was diagnosed and fixed promptly, at a reasonable price. Google carries a single 5-star rating; Porch shows two more with no text attached. So the credential here runs deeper than the reviews. Sixteen years of unbroken BBB accreditation at A+ says something about a one-person shop that three platform ratings cannot, but three ratings is not a history you can lean on. Worth a call for the small stuff - a sticking door, a cabinet, a light fixture. Ask for a couple of recent local references, and for anything at remodel scale confirm his Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration before work starts.
I've contacted Patrick for a number of issues around my house, and he's always diagnosed and fixed the issue promptly, with a reasonable price, and a friendly attitude. I would not even consider calling someone else at this point.
