Paul Massad Landscaping is a landscape design and construction company based in Westborough, Massachusetts, specializing in custom stonework and full landscape builds, and has been operating since around 1998. The company has drawn industry recognition, including a Best of Houzz 2018 award for service and multiple honors from the Landscape Design Council of Massachusetts at the Boston Flower & Garden Show in 2019 and 2020. The written review record here is genuinely strong, though dated: five detailed Houzz reviews from November 2017 through January 2019 describe transformative landscape projects — stone walkways built from reclaimed material, patios with fire pits and built-in grills, and mature tree plantings — with reviewers repeatedly praising Paul's design vision and craftsmanship. In a February 2018 review, one homeowner described Paul proactively replacing a struggling tree before they had a chance to call about it. There is no more recent written feedback on file since that January 2019 review. There are two things worth checking before booking. First, BuildZoom shows the company's Massachusetts landscape contractor license (#189288) as inactive, with an expiration date of March 2026 — worth confirming directly with the state before hiring. Second, the business's address appears differently across sources: its BBB profile and older licensing records list a Boylston, MA address, while the company's current website and recent building permits point to 338 Turnpike Road in Westborough, MA, suggesting the business has relocated since some of those older records were filed. Given the depth and consistency of the craftsmanship praise in the written record, Paul Massad Landscaping looks like a strong option for stonework-heavy landscape projects — but homeowners should ask directly about current licensing status and confirm the business's present office before signing a contract.

“Paul Massad Landscaping of Boylston, Massachusetts says, “Our garden uses sound, color, tones, and textures to help you feel relaxed and at one with your surroundings.”
Paul and his crew transformed our long neglected front yard into a space of color, artistry, and order. After meeting with Paul and Brittanie we knew that we could entrust the with our sensibility, and the overall design, and every choice was so pleasing and harmonious, from the smaller plants, to Paul's edgy pruning of neglected shrubs, to the front farmer's style wall, field stone driveway edging, to the sculptural walk. The pictures of the Organic Walkway in progress that are shown on the main page here don't do justice to the beauty of this functional sculpture. It's both rugged and subtle, and adds a little touch of whimsy every time we walk outside. The pictures also don't capture the ridiculous level of meticulous prep that went on before they could set the first massive stone slice. My wife jokes that the neighborhood could crumble and this walkway would remain, solid as a rock. We were really pleased how enthusiastic Paul, Brittanie, and master mason Brett were about repurposing material from around the grounds. From the rear yard, awaiting complete excavation for a new septic, Paul rescued the stone from crumbling walls and a weeping elm that my wife and I planted 15 years ago. The stone was used to build a casual stacked front wall and to edge the driveway, and the elm was given a new and better life, set behind the wall, anchoring the front corner. Flowering trees were moved to better effect and hosta and perennials reset into the new beds. We also can't say enough about how great they all were to work with. So collaborative throughout, continually getting our feedback and offering their suggestions along the way. When we added some work, like clearing out dead trees, and changed some parameters on the fly, like expanding the walk, they didn't blink; their only concern was executing what we wanted to their highest standards. We're lucky to have found them and look forward to working with them this spring and into the future.
Paul is a renaissance man when it comes to landscaping. He and his team can do anything, from planting a shrub to elaborate hard and soft scapes. They are perfectionists and stand by their work. We had over 20 mature trees put in to create a buffer on our property line, a patio and fire pit installed, and raised garden planters built into a hillside. Each job was completed on time and exceeded our expectations. When one of the trees died, Paul was out to replace the it before we could call him. He had been by to check on the health of the trees and noticed one with an insufficient root system. I highly recommend Paul and his team of professionals.
Paul Massad is truly an outstanding landscaping company. He did an amazing job designing and executing my project. He only does high quality work. I am very pleased with his work. He also did an outstanding job constructing the vegetable garden raised beds.
Paul and his team worked with us on a landscaping reconfiguration project. Paul's ideas based on is experience and knowledge of trees, shrubs, plants, etc. were outstanding. His vision and design skills really helped put the perfect plan together. Paul and his team executed the plan and vision to absolute perfection. We couldn't be happier with the result. Paul also worked with our tree maintenance company to ensure they understand the vision and align the pruning work to the vision as well. We are now handing over all grounds maintenance and up keep to Paul and his team. The focus on quality and customer experience has really impressed us and we look forward to many more projects with Paul. I couldn't recommend them more enthusiastically.
Paul and his team were very professional and easy to work with. We hired Paul to create an outdoor living space in our yard (remove old decking/patio, completely update entire backyard space, install stone patio, fireplace, and built-in grill). We also had a small basketball/sports pad installed. I would highly recommend Paul. His work was impeccable and his team's attention to detail was second to none. He helped us through the entire process and made things as easy as possible when going through a major yard renovation. We love our new space.
