A dryer that needed a belt and a washer that needed a coupling, both pulled apart in a tight space and working again in less than an hour: that is how a recent customer described a visit from Paul. That customer said he could have charged more and would not have been questioned. Paul's Appliance Service carries 4.7 stars from 34 Google ratings. The company says it has been in business for 25 years, and it lists New Bedford, Dartmouth, Fall River, Westport, Fairhaven, Acushnet, Freetown, Mattapoisett, Marion and Somerset as its service area. A recent customer with a leaking freezer got an appointment for the next day and said he found why it was leaking, at a cost the customer called very reasonable. A recent customer said he came out and diagnosed a washing machine the day they called, and it was repaired the same day the parts came in. A recent customer who sent a video of a broken dryer at 7:45 a.m. said Paul responded immediately with a candid assessment and a rough repair estimate; because the dryer is 30 years old, that customer is buying a new one and appreciated being saved the cost of a house call. A recent customer calling about a dryer was told he didn't work on that brand, and wrote "Very rude."
Very pleased with his work. Called and got an appointment for the next day. Got right to work and found why the freezer was leaking. Cost very reasonable. He's a town business and I like to support people from my town. Highly recommend him.
Called yesterday to see if I could get my refrigerator looked at. He asked what the problem was and then asked what brand I had. When I told him I had an LG he immediately said he “Doesn’t work on LG’s” and told me good luck finding someone who would. I ended up fixing the problem myself with Chat GPT and a $10 trip to Home Depot.
Just got off the phone with them minutes ago. He informed me he didn’t work on my brand of dryer. Just hung up the phone. Very rude. Would not recommend.
Great service , he came out and diagnosed the day we called him. Our washing machine was repaired the same day the parts came in and at a reasonable price. Highly recomend
Super responsive knowledgeable and honest. I called 745am about broken dryer and sent video. Paul responded immediately with candid assessment of issue and rough estimated cost to repair. Given that it’s 30 years old I am buying a new dryer but his cost was reasonable, and I appreciated him saving me the cost of the house call. Will use him for all our repairs going forward!
