Pave Tech LLC is Eddie Henriquez's paving outfit in Newton, and the thing that keeps showing up across years of reviews isn't just smooth asphalt — it's drainage. Customer after customer describes a driveway that used to pool water or flood a garage, and Eddie diagnosing the runoff problem and building a fix into the job: a dry well and angled asphalt to keep water off a garage door built under the house, a below-ground pipe tied into a downspout that had been dumping onto the pavement, a regrade after a builder's drainage grate kept caving in and icing over every winter. The written record runs from 2021 to today, 81 reviews across five platforms with a 4.9-star Google average and a BBB A+ grade. Most of the work is driveway paving and seal coating, usually finished in a day or two, and several customers single out Eddie personally — showing up the same day to quote a job, driving the paver himself, handling city permitting a homeowner had been stuck on for months. Masonry and hardscaping come up too: a 2025 review describes retaining walls, a front walkway, and a stone pathway all rebuilt in one visit, and a 2021 review recalls cobblestone borders added to a driveway back in 2020. Two complaints stand out and are worth asking about directly. A recent review describes being strung along for nine months, then stood up twice for a scheduled driveway date with no call either time. A 2025 review says a small patch job started caving in within a month and the owner didn't return calls about it. Neither is the norm in a record this size, but both describe exactly the kind of follow-through problem that's hard to verify until it happens to you. Separately, the state registry shows Pave Tech's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration has lapsed — worth confirming its current status before signing anything. For a straightforward driveway or a job with a real drainage problem behind it, this is a company whose customers keep coming back for repeat work — seal coats, additions, second driveways. Ask about the registration and get a firm date in writing before you commit.
I was grateful when Pave Tech came to fix my driveway which was in very bad shape after decades of use. They were extremely professional, considerate, and efficient. They completed the job in just one morning and the work was reviewed and inspected by the owner. I have been very pleased with the result and would certainly use them again.
Great job repaving my driveway and side walkway. Decent price. Workers were very professional. Eddie almost always responded to my texts within a few minutes. Would highly recommend.
My son did his research and located Pave Tech - they came, gave a detailed contract and within 2 weeks we had an amazing new courtyard. They were fast and reliable, left the place immaculate and were very professional. Highly recommend Eddie and his A team!
After waiting nine months from contracting they set a date to do our driveway; twice. Both times they did not show up. Both times they did not contact us to tell us they were not coming. Both times I had to contact them; and when I did they told me they were on another job. Then asked for more time. I should have realized when it took them 3 months to get a town permit; after I stepped in, that this was not the company to work with.
Eddie was responsive and price was fair. We had some delay in scheduling due to the original plan for late fall, so it was pushed to spring. The work was completed in 2 days. They needed to change equipment and they did that quickly and called to update us of changes. Would recommend Pavetech to others!
