Fourteen years of grass cutting, yard upkeep and winter snow removal: that was one customer's relationship with Post Road Landscape in a November 2025 Google review. The company describes itself as a family-owned Newton-area business serving Newton, Brookline, Needham and Wellesley. Its advertised work includes landscape design and installation, ongoing maintenance, seasonal cleanups, hardscaping, drainage, snow removal and exterior cleaning. Houzz identifies Stephen McLaughlin as its owner and founder. Customers writing in 2024 and 2025 described both recurring maintenance and changes to their outdoor spaces. A November 2024 reviewer said Post Road had replaced the front lawn that summer and also handled yard cleanups and snow plowing. Another, writing that month, described an earlier landscaping project involving hardscapes and plantings after renovations, followed by a fall cleanup that removed the acorns. In a December 2024 review, a customer who had hired the company for fall cleanup said the crew returned a third time after leaves remained following two visits; that customer also called Stephen's estimate reasonable. Snow work drew specific praise in those older accounts. A December 2024 customer described plowing on a narrow, uneven cobblestone driveway and praised Stephen's communication. In November 2024, another customer said the company emailed about expected snow events and whether it would come, depending on the forecast accumulation. A November 2025 reviewer with a complicated property praised the plowing and shoveling through difficult weather and said the landscaping crew was courteous and thorough. Longstanding customers also praised pricing and reliability in November 2025, while a November 2024 Newton customer described careful work and electronic invoicing. Google reports a 5-star average from 33 ratings. Its BBB grade is A+. There is a complaint to weigh alongside those accounts. In an August 2025 Google review, a customer described initially responsive communication that later stopped, and said tree trimming severely reduced the foliage on two river birches. The customer subsequently updated the review to report a successful resolution. Boston Globe coverage has also raised concerns about compliance with Newton's leaf-blower ordinance.
