One customer brought a broken window screen into Precision Window and Kitchen this July and wrote that they fixed it immediately and would not take the money. A June 2026 customer who broke a glass pane putting it back in says a tech came out, charged a very small fee for the glass and nothing for the labor. That walk-in side of this New Bedford company — family-owned since 1989 by its own account, working the Southcoast and the Cape and Islands — is where the warmest reviews come from. The window work draws specifics too. A November 2023 customer had 33 replacement windows installed and called the crew quick, responsive and competitively priced. In an October 2024 review, a coastal homeowner described 1950s single panes and storms swapped out with the wood trim aluminum-wrapped on every window. A December 2022 customer got wooden windows fitted to a historic house; an April 2023 one said the new windows matched an antique farmhouse. A first-time homebuyer in May 2025 needed a special order to satisfy HOA requirements and said the price came in under the other companies that had quoted. Joe Pereira is named in about a dozen of these reviews, along with Nick and Kelly. The complaints land somewhere else: the contracted jobs. A May 2022 reviewer drew the line himself — buying cabinets was okay, but the general-contracting side took over a year on a kitchen and bath renovation, with nothing but delays. A July 2023 customer said windows took four months to arrive, came in wrong, and that several calls since had gone unanswered. An August 2022 reviewer signed a contract for a small section of aluminum trim and two gutters and wrote that a year later no work had been done. A September 2024 customer said a broken slider seal brought one excuse after another. And in a one-star review from January 2026, a customer described an $850 deposit for basement windows, with two weeks quoted for delivery, another two to three weeks to schedule the install, and assurances the windows would be in before winter. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. Its BBB page is the other side of the ledger: an F grade, not accredited, which the BBB attributes to the business not responding to two filed complaints. For windows — a pane, a screen, a whole house's worth, or a special order nobody else wants to chase — this is a long-running New Bedford shop with customers who keep going back. For a contracted renovation, put the delivery dates, the install schedule and what happens to your deposit if those slip into the contract before you sign, and ask who is running the job day to day.
