Pro Cut Landscape & Design

Pro Cut Landscape & Design is Bob Assarian's Watertown crew, and the thing customers write about most isn't the mulch — it's Bob walking the yard with them first, laying out options, and sometimes proposing a cheaper one. Angi shows 4.9 stars from 167 ratings, 98 percent of them five-star, and 22 of the written reviews landed in the last six months alone. BBB lists the business as started in January 2001, a one-employee S corporation owned by Robert Assarian, graded A+ though not accredited. The work is the full residential menu: spring and fall cleanups, weeding and edging, overgrowth removal, mulching, lawn care, garden redesigns, and plowing in winter. This summer's reviews describe a yard turned from a disaster into something planted in two days, a garden rescued in a few hours after the heat got ahead of its owner, a property cleared of six months of debris and weeds after a family medical crisis, and a front lawn redesigned after a town tree came down and took the shade with it — that customer has used Pro Cut for more than 20 years. In August 2026 a homeowner was offered a lower-priced alternative at the estimate visit and took it. Winter customers in January and February 2026 called after a 22-inch storm when their own plow contractor didn't show, and Bob fit them in. Crews arrive early or on the date promised, and more than one reviewer mentioned extra trimming or storm debris cleared without being asked. The only reservation in the recent reviews is price: an August 2026 customer, satisfied with the job, felt it ran a bit high. Ask for the options up front — reviewers say Bob offers them — and compare. For a cleanup, a garden makeover, a new lawn or a snow contract in the Watertown area, the people who hired Pro Cut over the past year and a half describe an owner who listens and a crew that shows up.
