R Silvia Electrical Contractor is a Dartmouth, Massachusetts electrician whose HomeAdvisor page shows 4.2 stars from 10 ratings: eight five-star and two one-star. The reviews name Ryan as the electrician who came out. The two most recent, from May 2026, are positive. One customer said Ryan was in the vicinity, called from the road and came right over, and did the job at a fair price; the other called him on time and the price very reasonable. An October 2025 customer said he assessed and explained the problems, gave an estimate, bought the materials, provided receipts and billed accurately without inflating his hours. In January 2024, a customer said he rewired the electric heating system in a duplex in a few hours, and a February 2024 review describes an upgrade and replacement of the electrical box, the outside meter and the wiring into the house, plus a new outlet and light. The two one-star reviews raise the same complaint. In September 2025, a customer who hired Ryan to replace outdated outlets wrote that he "smelled badly of alcohol and was drunk when he came to the job" and said they would be reporting him. A December 2025 reviewer wrote that he was rude and disrespectful and "came to the job drunk and hungover." BuildZoom shows 83 projects for the business. Its Massachusetts electrician licence 21248-EL-A is active on the state registry, with Ronald J Silvia as holder of record. Its Rhode Island electrician licence A-004765 is active on that state's registry, also with Ronald J Silvia as holder of record.
Ryan was on time , great work ,very professional. I will use him again on other projects. Price was very reasonable.
I got lucky, Ryan was in the vicinity and called from the road and came right over. Friendly guy and got right to work. Did an excellent job at a fair price. I’d recommend.
This man is rude, disrespectful and he came to the job drunk and hungover. I don?t recommend hiring him.
Ryan was on time, assessed and explained the problem(s), gave estimate, purchased materials, provided receipts and did not inflate his hours worked and provided accurate billing. He did everything that needed to be done today in a straightforward and professional manner. I put his name and number in my contacts for future needs.
I hired Ryan to fix my outlets and change them out for new ones since the old ones were outdated. He smelled badly of alcohol and was drunk when he came to the job. Please don't hire someone who drinks right before a job. Terrible customer service experience and will be reporting him.
