R Vazquez Landscaping is a landscaping outfit based in Norwood, MA, offering lawn care maintenance, mowing, and yard-waste cleanup. Its Angi profile carries a single written review, from a 2016 fall-cleanup customer: the actual yard work held up once it got underway, but getting there was a hassle. The customer described a disorganized process reaching the owner's wife on the phone, an appointment booked through Angi's own scheduling tool, and no confirmation call back. Angi records the same account as one 4.0-star rating. With only one written review on file, and it's now nearly a decade old, there isn't much of a track record to lean on here. Anyone considering R Vazquez Landscaping should expect the finished work to hold up but budget extra patience for the initial quote-and-booking conversation, and confirm current availability directly before counting on a start date.
The work was done well once it was scheduled, but I'm not sure if I'll use them again because it was such a hassle to get information and get something booked. This was my first time researching and hiring a landscaping company for a fall cleanup. The main point of contact throughout this whole process was the owner's wife (I believe) who was very friendly and understanding of my questions, but seemed a bit disorganized. I made an appointment through HomeAdvisor's booking system for someone to come out and walk the property with me, and to give me a quote, but never got a confirmation call. When I called the business number to confirm whether they were coming on the day I had chosen (I had arranged to work from home that day in order to meet with them) I was told that they didn't have a record of my appointment, but that the owner could drive by my house when he was in the area to take a look at the property and give an estimate. Not really what I had intended when I made an appointment for an in-person quote, but ok. A few days later, I had not heard back from them, so I called again to ask if he had seen the property and could give me a quote, which he had, and gave me a quote of $420. I had some questions about what was covered under that price (mowing, flower bed cleanup, leaf removal, etc.) and the owner's wife needed to check and call me back before confirming that 1) mowing and flower bed cleanup were included, and 2) leaf removal was $60 per truckload, but they could also dump the leaves in the woods on our property for no additional charge. We ended up going with that route. Lastly, scheduling the actual cleanup -- the owner's wife (I'm sorry I never got her name!) did not have a schedule available so she couldn't tell me when exactly the work could be performed. This seemed extremely odd to me, but I mentioned that I was having a party on an upcoming Saturday, and she told me it wouldn't be a problem for them to come clean the yard up on the day before (Friday). I had to call again on that Wednesday to actually confirm they were coming. In the end, they were there first thing on Friday morning and did a fine job cleaning up the yard, so I have no complaints at all about the work performed. It just seemed unnecessarily complicated to actually get information and get something scheduled.
