On that Angi profile the company describes itself as having over thirty years of plumbing and hydronic heating experience in the lower Fairfield County area, and says it specializes in Navien tankless heaters. A 2021 customer said Jim Reed removed a 30+ year old sink, faucet and plumbing, installed a new sink and faucet with all new plumbing underneath, and tested everything for leaks before he left. That 2021 customer also said Jim had been up front about his pricing the first time he did a job there. A 2016 customer said Jim was the first contractor on an addition, setting up a temporary kitchen, and the last, installing new kitchen sinks on Christmas Eve morning after the granite countertops went in the day before. That 2016 customer said that more than 8 months later there had not been a single issue with the new plumbing or heating. A 2017 customer said Jim, who was off that day, was at the home in 20 minutes, installed a faucet and then worked on a clog that needed some pipes disconnected and snaked. When the faucet turned out to be installed a bit crooked, that 2017 customer said he returned the call at 7:30 PM and came back at 7:30 in the morning to fix it. A 2016 customer said Jim fixed a garbage disposal and researched the right replacement unit for a broken steam shower. A 2020 customer thought the labor was a bit expensive, and said the task was completed within 3.5 hours.
This was the second time I had Jim Reed take on a project at my home. Jim removed a 30+ year old sink, faucet, plumbing etc. and installed a new sink and faucet, and all new plumbing underneath. He tested everything before he left to make sure there were no leaks and so far so good. He made it clear he would return if there were any issues with his work. Jim was up front about his pricing the first time he did a job here so I was expecting the price he ended up charging me. Very professional friendly and gets the job done.
Went well. Avoided long term Crisis. I thought labor was a bit expensive but arrived ahead Nog schedule, great attention to detail, professional, obtained necessary supplies and completed task with 3.5 hours.
Jim Reed is a pro. Gave me an estimate over the phone (small job) and showed up on time a week later as scheduled. Fixed the issue in half an hour and was on his way. Will be calling Jim in the future!!
This is the 2nd time I've had Jim over the house. He's a great guy, Quality guy and quality work. He's our plumber, end of story. If you want someone that will be respectful, knowledgeable and fair then call Jim. Highest of recomendations.
