We recently had Renaissance Deck Builders replace the deck at our home in Otis Wood Lands in Otis, Massachusetts, and we’re extremely happy with how the whole project turned out. We’d reached the point where the old deck boards were starting to rot through in places. We were concerned about safety, and we also didn’t want to keep playing whack-a-mole by replacing a few boards every year. It was time to do the job properly. What initially made us comfortable choosing Michelangelo and Renaissance was how professional they were from the beginning. They were straightforward, helpful, and never pushy during the contracting process. Once we decided to move forward, the pre-construction process was very clear, and they did a great job explaining what would happen and when. The actual construction was much less disruptive than I expected. I work from home and was literally sitting just a few feet from where much of the work was happening, and it never became a problem. And the finished deck looks fantastic. The low-maintenance decking and aluminum railings are a huge improvement, the lighting looks great, and the grill bump-out may be my favorite part. It gives us a dedicated place for the grill while making the whole deck feel noticeably more spacious. Most of all, it’s just a much nicer space to spend time in now. We can enjoy the deck without worrying about splinters, rotting boards, or whether something is going to need replacing next. It looks better, feels better, and should be far easier to live with for years to come. We’re very happy we chose Renaissance Deck Builders and would absolutely recommend them.
We recently used Renaissance Deck Builders to replace three decks at our home. We wanted them to be relatively low maintenance but with a style that compliments our contemporary modern home. Working with Michelangelo Decaro, who guided us knowledgeably through our options, we settled on modern materials that don't require restaining/painting, come with a 50 year warranty and stay cool enough in the summer sun that you don't burn your bare feet! Michelangelo was always responsive to our questions and requests. The work was carried out to plan and on budget. He kept us informed with daily email summaries that included photos of the progress and any important information relating to dates. Cleanup during and at the end of the project was done diligently. Throughout the process Michelangelo and his team were pleasant, reliable, considerate and, all in all, a pleasure to work with. The quality of the final deck is excellent. We can highly recommend Renaissance Building for your deck work.
Michelangelo’s work speaks for itself. The decks he makes are quality and he was a pleasure to work with. The attention to every detail is what sets him apart. Would highly recommend
Michelangelo from Renaissance is an honest contractor, which is rare these days. Does great work. Highly recommend.
They’re way too expensive and have the social media presence of an angry teenager.
