Renewit Window and Glass Repair

New glass instead of new windows is the advice one Renewit customer credits with saving thousands of dollars, and replacing panes, screens and putty is the work behind this Norwalk window and glass repair business. Vince and Jessie (also spelled Jesse) are the two names customers write. It holds 4.7 stars from 150 ratings on HomeAdvisor and the same on Angi. The largest job is a church window. In a November 2023 review, a customer described a 25-by-15-foot window with 42 panes in rectangles, trapezoids and triangles that other contractors would not take on; Vince and Jessie brought in scaffolding and a lift, had 42 double panes made to spec, resealed the window and re-stained the redwood frame. In a 2022 review, a customer said every pane in the house was replaced and re-puttied in two weeks, with screens made for six studio windows, and that Vince talked them out of replacing the attic windows. Other 2022 reviews describe custom screens measured and cut on site at a fixed price per screen. An August 2025 customer said Jessie re-screened an outdoor porch on time, and an August 2026 reviewer said a project finished earlier than expected at a reasonable price. One complaint is detailed. In a November 2023 review, a customer said replacement glass installed in January 2023 fogged with condensation from the start, that Jesse came back several times insisting nothing was wrong, and that when the glass was finally shown to be defective, Vince asked the customer to pay again. Its BBB grade is B-, with one complaint on file. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0627204.2024, is listed as expired on the state registry, inactive due to a change to legal entity.
