Rhino Shield of New England, based at 90 Corporate Park Dr in Pembroke, sells one thing: a ceramic exterior coating applied instead of house paint, backed by a 25-year transferable warranty. The Better Business Bureau has accredited the business since March 2006 and grades it A+, and its listed work spans houses, condos and multifamily buildings, offices and industrial exteriors. The crews get consistently strong reviews, and the praise is specific about preparation rather than just the finish. A May 2026 customer whose paint was falling off in places described the house being taken back to almost bare wood, rotten boards replaced, sanded, cleaned, primed and coated. A July 2026 homeowner with a 40-year-old wood-sided house expected to need vinyl siding and found the crew repaired the damaged clapboard, window framing and garage trim in the same job for less than re-siding would have cost. Named crew leads recur across months — Fernando Alvez, Oscar, Wendel, Arfelvo, Isomar — alongside Pat, Joe, Jay, Rachel and Brenda in the office. Several reviewers with 1912, 1940s and hundred-year-old houses say the coating let them keep original detail that vinyl would have covered. The warranty is where the record splits, and it matters more here than for an ordinary painter because the warranty is the product's whole premise. One 2025 reviewer had a 2011 job repainted under warranty after a photo review, promptly and thoroughly. Against that: a February 2026 customer said the company agreed a blistered rear section was covered and then, despite repeated assurances of being on the schedule, never came — for years. A 2023 reviewer waited eleven months with calls and photos and got no visit. An August 2025 customer reported repeated blistering met with "not under warranty" explanations. A July 2026 customer said a house painted three years earlier is bubbling and peeling and was told it was not covered, on a $25,000 job. The Boston Globe reported in 2020 on a homeowner in a decade-long dispute over what he described as constant paint failures after paying $11,500, and a Massachusetts court docket lists a breach-of-contract suit over painting a house against Northeastern Exteriors LLC doing business as Rhino Shield of New England. A cluster of one-star reviews in July 2026 has nothing to do with any job — five people objected to the company's AI-generated advertising. They are real ratings and they pull the average down, but they say nothing about workmanship and should be read separately from the customers who actually hired the company. Price is the other thing to settle up front. Reviewers name $25,000 and $27,000 jobs, and one described being quoted in the mid-twenties before roughly $8,000 of carpentry — subcontracted — was added. If you have a wood-sided or historic house with rot and trim to repair and you want to stop repainting every seven years, this is a capable outfit with the prep discipline to do it. Get the carpentry scoped and priced in the contract rather than discovered later, ask exactly what the 25-year warranty covers and what triggers a refusal, and get the claim procedure and response time in writing before you sign.

The workers were great, their attention to all details and work ethic were exceptional. The house and colors came out exactly as we planned.
Everything went smoothly home is magnificent
Rhino Shield of New England is everything that they claim to be, AND MORE! The feedback from our neighbors is the same from everyone...."your house looks brand new!" We have been in our home for 26 years and paint every 7 years. Having grown tired over the process and expense, we decided to call Rhino Shield base on their 25 year guarantee, and we are so grateful that we did. The paint job is amazing, and the repair work on our siding and trim is something that no other painter would've touched. It was a huge job, and our crew was on site every morning for three weeks, with constant communication as to what they were doing. Admittedly, we were hesitant to initially contact Rhino because of the claim of 2x-2.5x the cost....but when you break down the expense vs the value, it is an easy ROI. PS...the "before and after" pictures do not do this job justice. The blue was faded, chipping and peeling. It looked awful. As I stated, our home looks brand new now.
Great job by Rhino Shield! They completely transformed the exterior of our house. The process was efficient, and the team were true hard workers despite the hot weather. We couldn't be happier with the results."
The house looks great . The bulkhead did not take the treatment very well it is chipping a bit. The rhino shield looks fresh I was a bit disappointed in how the workers treated my landscape and tree And the microwave they used blew 2 circuit breakers that I didn’t notice until after they left. They did completely the job in amazing time and weather was on their side.. They worked hard and did s good job .
