Rockcoast Painters holds 4 stars from 8 ratings on Google. A 2025 customer wrote that Wendy and David painted their living room and master bedroom, and that Wendy helped them figure out the darker grey shade they wanted for the walls. That 2025 reviewer said the two also power washed the house to clear rain residue. A 2025 customer praised Wendy's detail work and wrote that, in an older home in need of some new cabinets, the pair made the cabinets prettier for now. A 2023 customer said David had done work for them twice, each time on time and on budget. A 2022 customer who had just closed on a house said David bid the job, requested a large amount of money up front, $5,000 a week in advance, and refused to give a firm start and end date. That 2022 customer said that when they asked him to make those changes to the contract, he told them to "go find another painter," and that he was difficult to reach.
Wendy and David painted my living room and master bedroom. I told Wendy I wanted a darker grey color for the walls. She helped me figure out the shade I wanted. She is a patient painter and focuses on her work when painting, and cutting the edges. She is good at communicating with you, and helps try to bring your color visions to a “colorful” reality. They also power washed my house this fall from all the rain residue. They are good to work with and friendly with others. I would use them again in the future.
Dave and Wendy were lovely to work with. Wendy does wonderful detail work. She saw my vision and worked with it. Will use them again in the future. Put some before and after pics below. Older home in need of some new cabinets, but made them prettier for now.
David has done work for us twice and each time on time, on budget, and we are very happy with his work.
David has no contractor license that I am aware of, only a business license with the city, he is a smaller painting company. He difficult to reach, he bid out a job for me on a house I just closed on, requested a huge amount of money up front, saying he needed it a week in advance (why he needed 5000.00 that far in advance, I don't know) then he refused to give me a firm start and end date. When I asked him to make these modifications on the contract, he wigged out and said "go find another painter." Getting a hold of this guy was difficult, and getting him to modify his agreement was impossible. Basically, his agreement was all about himself, giving himself 3 weeks to finish the interior of a modestly sized 3 bedroom home, and other contractual features that worked only to his best interest.
