Seacoast Soapstone is a Madbury, New Hampshire shop that, by its own description, fabricates and installs soapstone countertops, sinks, drain boards and corbels, along with custom wood countertops and cabinetry. The site says Jay Trahan, its owner, has over 30 years of design and build experience. On Google it holds 5 stars from 35 ratings. A 2025 customer wrote about new soapstone countertops and a Lorraine style sink, and said he made shallow notches in their beams to avoid visible gaps; that customer said Jay also made a shelf out of reclaimed hickory barnboard. A 2024 customer said Jay crafted a black walnut top for their kitchen island. A 2024 customer whose soapstone kitchen was installed twelve years earlier said Chad sanded and refinished all the counter tops and island. A 2023 customer said Jay made wood counters for a custom entertainment center, and that he had done two projects for them before, soapstone counters and a sink.
