A 2021 customer said Colin helped troubleshoot the outlet for a dryer, determined it was wired incorrectly and installed a new outlet with a box in the wall. That 2021 customer said the electric range then worked. Its Massachusetts electrician license, number 8161-EL-A1, is expired on the state registry. A 2021 customer said Colin and Andrew replaced two interior outlets from 2-prong to 3-prong, a very old ceiling light fixture, an exterior flood light and an exterior GFI switch. That 2021 customer said Colin also replaced a third interior outlet, left off the quote, for no extra cost, and that the job was completed quicker than expected. A 2022 customer said Colin cleaned up after completing his work and gave a choice of a lump sum price or time and material. A 2021 customer who needed an outlet installed in the basement said Colin spent about 20 extra minutes afterward answering questions about a potential future project. A 2021 customer gave one star, writing that after a confirmed appointment he messaged back a week later saying he did not have time.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Sikora Electrical Contracting LLC. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.
Estimated range
$530 – $1,100
Typical electrical project around $820
I find the quote "on time, on budget" being overused in the construction industry. Our experience with Colin, was all of that, plus some (cleaned up after completing his work which, I find, is unusual for electricians - both residential and commercial). Reasonable pricing (gave us options for either a lump sum price or time and material), and did not "nickel and dime" us. After our first project with him will reach out to him for any additional work we have in the future.
Colin was great to worked with…really helped me out by coming quickly and working with my schedule. Nice work, friendly and very reasonable pricing. I will definitely be calling him again
Colin helped me trouble shoot my outlet for me dryer. He determined that it was wired incorrectly. He installed a new outlet with box in wall. My electric range now works. He was great to work with.
Colin and Andrew did an amazing, quick, professional and quality job. In addition to the replacing of two interior outlets (2-prong to 3- prong), one very old ceiling light fixture, an exterior flood light, and an exterior GFI switch, all of which I had requested a quote for only 2 days ago, Colin also replaced a third interior outlet, that I had forgotten to include in the quote, for no extra cost. They completed the job quicker than expected and I am thrilled with results. I will definitely be calling him again for any additional electrical work I may need in the future! I highly recommend him!
Needed an outlet installed in the basement. Colin was quick and courteous. After he finished, he spent about 20 extra minutes with me answering questions for a potential project in the future. A+ experience.
