Simmons Paving LLC is an asphalt paving company in Windsor Locks. Its website describes grinding, grading, binder coat and top coat work, and the company says it has been in business 25 years. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0630838, is active on the state registry, held by SIMMONS PAVING LLC. A 2026 customer said the company put in a new driveway five years earlier and, at that time, was responsive and did a good job. When the driveway needed repair, that 2026 customer said they called in February and again in early March, reached someone in mid-March who said someone would get back to them in 1-2 weeks, then heard nothing, and their April call went unanswered. A 2025 reviewer wrote that their business was charged over $20,000 for new asphalt that was disintegrating within 2 years, and that a promised contact from the owner never came. A 2026 reviewer wrote that the driveway fell apart after a few months and alleged safety violations that put employees and the public at risk.

We hired Simmons Paving 5 years ago to put in a new driveway. At that time, they were responsive and did a good job. We now have a problem with the driveway and contacted them in February to come out and look at the driveway and repair it. We understand that they don't work in the winter, but most companies at least check their phone messages, We tried again a few times again in early March and left messages. Tried again in mid March and finally someone answered the phone and said someone would get back to us in 1-2 weeks, as he was just returning to work. We heard nothing so I called again in April and no one answered the phone and no one is returning phone calls. I highly recommend DO NOT use this paving company. We have heard that many people are complaining about the company. So disappointed and upset that they jumped immediately to do our driveway initially and now 5 years later that it needs repairs they ignore us. Stay away from Simmons Paving company!
So a friend of mine referred me to this company because he was a driver. Driveway fell apart after a few months. If osha only saw all the safety violations. Safety risks they put their own employees in and the public. I hope osha checks this sketchy place out soon. Please stay away for the safety of the public and your family. There is better companies out there
If I could give this uncaring company zero stars I wouldn't hesitate to do that. They charged our business over $20,000 to lay down new asphalt which has been disintegrating within 2 years. The company does not respond to our phone calls or texts as they have already been paid and will not stand behind their workmanship. I was promised that the owner would contact me to resolve this matter and after reaching out numerous I have been ignored. How could anyone possibly recommend using Simmons Paving after this horrific experience ? Owner is non-existent after being paid.
