SLT Construction Corporation is an excavating and site-work contractor based at 3 Marion Dr in Carver. Its own one-page website bills it as "Excavating Contractors Since 1986", while its BBB file lists owner Peter Opachinski, a business start date of 1/1/2008 and about 30 employees. The public record here is much thinner on homeowner work than on heavy site work. Directory listings describe demolition, earthwork and plumbing in the Carver area, and BBB files the company under Home Builders, but no directory publishes a customer rating and BBB says it has too little information to rate the business at all. What is documented is safety and permitting history. The Patriot Ledger reported in 2018 that the Carver-based company had paid more than $15,000 in fines between 2000 and 2016, including one Randolph incident that caused a serious injury, and NBC Boston reported that SLT Construction was the local contractor at the Scituate site where a 61-year-old worker was struck and killed by a bulldozer in December 2018. Regulatory friction shows up again more recently: a 2024 report said the company's application to run an asphalt, brick and concrete recycling facility off Spring Street in Carver and Plympton was withdrawn, and an undated enforcement letter names the company as the operator of a Plympton parcel at issue under the town's earth-removal bylaw. Customer feedback is scarce and unusual. Google shows 3.8 stars from 13 ratings, but all three readable review bodies are one-star and complain about company trucks' driving on public roads rather than about any contracted job — so a homeowner has almost no first-hand account of the work itself to go on. Ask directly about current safety practices, insurance and references for residential site work.

“The Property is owned by RPBP, LLC and operated by SLT Construction Corporation (together, “SLT”).”
Horrible driver encountered. Judging by some other reviews, I'm not the only one. At 5:30-something in the morning yesterday, I was driving the speed limit after just having pulling onto the main road, when one of your truckers proceeded to ride right up against my bumper, flashing his lights. I know my driving, and I was going the speed limit or faster, never slow. I suggest you stop employing losers for your dead-end job. There was absolutely no need for that bull so early in the morning.
I do not recommend them, for service or employment. Lousy management ,highly unprofessional. Do not value employees by anymeans.
Was driving down Route 44 with my children in the car when a very large SLT construction truck with a wide load banner came screaming up behind me. For reference I was already doing 60mph. The driver was only about a foot or two behind my bumper where my child was sitting. They proceeded to tailgate me for about a quarter of a mile before changing lanes, speeding past another driver, and returning to the same lane only to get off at the Carver exit. I wish I had a camera on my vehicle because I would’ve reported it to the state. The driver should have their CDL revoked. Absolutely wreckless and wouldn’t be surprised if they kill or seriously injure someone driving like that.
