That customer said they were told in March the job would take two weeks once it started, and that by June they had seen one crew member there on one occasion. In a 2024 review, a contractor in the MDI area wrote that Smooth Finish Drywall was the only drywall company they would use for their projects and that Jeremy took an interest in each job. A contractor writing in 2022 called Jeremy professional and personable, said the work came at a reasonable cost, and called him their first choice on all their projects. A 2022 two-star reviewer wrote that they were "still learning I guess."
We did not end up with a smooth finish, nor was it a smooth process. Owner has taken on way too many projects than he has the manpower to handle. The crew goes from project to project doing just enough work at each place to say they’ve been there, but they don’t stay long enough to get any real work done. We were told in March that our job would take two weeks once they started and they expected to have it done by the end of April. By June, we had only seen one crew member there on one occasion. It was like pulling teeth getting anyone to show up all spring. When we finally did get people over there, we were left with sloppy work and mud in the outlet sockets. The owner grabbed us some new outlets and fired the crew that had mudded them in, which was a much appreciated gesture, but it didn’t offset the fact that we are now two months behind schedule and have to fix the work, costing us even more time and money. None of this was reflected in the final bill. We are just disappointed. I understand everyone is busy and in high demand, but either don’t bite off more than you can chew or be honest about crew issues and project timeline upfront.
As a contractor in the MDI area Smooth Finish Drywall is the only drywall company I will use for my projects. Jeremy truly has a passion for the work he does and takes an interest in each and every job. He uses the best materials and the most advanced tools and the end result certainly shows. 100% recommend!!
As a contractor, Smooth Finish Drywall is everything I look for. Jeremy is professional, personable, and produces a high quality product for a reasonable cost. His quality, in my opinion, is one of the best in the area. He's my first choice on all of my projects. Thank you Smooth Finish for working so well with us!
