A kitchen water leak on a Saturday, and help at the door within four hours: that is the job a 2025 customer described hiring Southern Connecticut Restoration for. The company is based in North Haven, and its BuildZoom profile says it has served Connecticut communities since 2000, doing restoration construction and repair on residential, commercial and multi-dwelling properties hit by fire, smoke and other damage. Its own website lists 24/7 emergency service and 26 years in business. That 2025 Google customer said their insurer referred them to the company. In that 2025 account, TJ set up fans and a dehumidifier, and Joe, named as one of the owners, came back with Michael to test for damage and confirmed there was none. The same customer said the company followed up as promised and was always on time. A 2025 BuildZoom reviewer said Joe and Mike were punctual getting out to assess the situation and gave a reasonable quote, and that TJ did the work. A 2021 BuildZoom reviewer credited the company's carpenters and painters and said the company made the project a lot less stressful. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0608851, as active, held by SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT RESTORATION LLC.
I was referred to this company by my insurance after discovering a water leak in my kitchen on a Saturday. TJ arrived within four hours of my call, set up fans and a dehumidifier, and was incredibly reassuring and optimistic about resolving the issue. Today, one of the owners, Joe, along with Michael, came out to test for damage and confirmed there was none—such a relief! From start to finish, everyone was professional, kind, respectful, and knowledgeable. They followed up as promised and were always on time. I’d recommend this company in a heartbeat. Great people to do business with!
