St. Onge Septic Tank Service works out of 568 Mountain Road in Goffstown, New Hampshire, and describes itself as family owned and operated since 1972 — the Better Business Bureau's file records a 1974 start, 52 years, and accreditation since 2017 with an A+ grade. The work runs from routine pumping and tank cleaning to inspections, tank locating, baffle, cover, pipe and pump repairs, line snaking, and full septic design and installation. Reviewers describe all of it: a tank pumped and filter cleaned the same morning a basement backed up, a home-buying inspection with the report and repair estimate turned round quickly, a new system installed to a schedule that held, and old cast-iron house-to-tank piping replaced with PVC. Two things come up again and again. The first is speed — an emergency clean-out answered quickly, a Sunday call-out, a last-minute job fitted in. The second is the crew being straight with people: one reviewer was told to dig the trench himself to save money and the company came back on its first day off vacation to do the pipework in under four hours; another says they were neither oversold nor under-informed. The site is left tidy — one customer says the yard looked untouched afterwards — and several reviewers mention having used the company for years, one for two decades. There is one real complaint to weigh. A 2024 one-star reviewer says the driver pumped only the secondary chamber of a two-compartment tank, never attempted the primary chamber where the solids sit, and discarded the filter as unnecessary — which the reviewer argues risks shortening the life of a four-year-old system. So: a long-established local septic firm with an accredited record, best used with one specific question asked up front. If your tank has two compartments or an effluent filter, confirm before the truck leaves that both chambers were pumped and what happened to the filter.
“St. Onge septic. Best in the state!”
St. Onge Septic performed a timely and thorough inspection during my home buying process. Kourtney in the office turned around my inspection report & repair estimate in record time. Highly recommend!!
Amazing, personable, respectful, helpful service. They took care of my backup immediately!
This has got to be one of the greatest companies to work with. Roger came a few years ago and helped us out, but we recently had a failure, problem with the line from the house to the tank. Old copper piping and cast iron, Roger helped us getting things working and advised we needed to dig it up and replace with PVC. They could do it, but if you want to save money, dig it up yourself. We took on the challenge, dug it up, and on his first day back from vacation he was on the job and had it replaced in less than 4 hours. So professional, love family owned business.
St Onge is fantastic, they are finishing up our new septic system and have been awesome start to finish. They kept us full informed about what was going on, the plan, and stuck to their time table for the job. They made a stressful, large job feel much less so. We won’t ever use anyone else
We had to have an emergency septic clean out and St. Onge responded quickly. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and through. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was functional and educated us on ways to decrease issues in the future!
