Star Cleaning

A 2017 Thumbtack customer counted: 33 windows, every one with blinds, and Star Cleaning did each of them — along with the light fixtures and the refrigerator, which they wrote other companies charge extra for. Deep cleans like that are what the older accounts of this Marlborough company describe. Star Cleaning Corp is run by owner Celia Figueira and covers residential and commercial work across MetroWest and the Boston area: house cleaning, offices, move-in and move-out, carpet and furniture, and deep cleans. The company says it has been cleaning for the MetroWest community since 2001. Thumbtack's profile lists 8 employees and 84 hires; the Angi page notes free estimates and Spanish spoken. The written accounts run 2016 to 2025, and the good ones are specific about method. A June 2020 Angi reviewer described two cleaners starting straight away, moving furniture and objects when they needed to, and working logically through each room so that no corner was left untouched. In February 2017, a customer whose son has asthma said they had never seen his room that dust free. On Google in September 2024, a first-time client said the owner was easy to reach for a fair quote and scheduled the first visit around them. Three of the sixteen written accounts are unhappy ones. A May 2021 Angi customer wrote about issues with the actual quality of the cleaning and with pricing, and was trying to work it out with the owner. Two one-star Google reviews landed on the same day in September 2025, one saying the crew came to the reviewer's aunt's house and left it dirty and messy. Thumbtack's 50 ratings split 78% five-star and 12% one-star. For a recurring house clean or a move-out in MetroWest, Star Cleaning is a reasonable call. Agree the room-by-room checklist and the rate with Celia before the first visit, and name what matters most to you — the windows and blinds, inside the refrigerator, the light fixtures.
