Google shows 5★ from 13 ratings; Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 4.4★ from 19 ratings, and Thumbtack 4.2★ from 18 ratings. The 2026 reviews are about finished work. An August 2026 customer said Neil helped choose the design and material to rehabilitate a patio and garden walkway, rebuild walls and protect a new driveway, worked alongside his team, left the adjoining garden undisturbed, and came back after completion to check the job. In an April 2026 review, a patio customer said the crew cleaned the site at the end of each day for their dogs' safety. A July 2025 customer said Star had now done its third project at their home in four years, this one a patio, walkways, a front porch and stairs, and a 2025 Angi customer described retaining walls, steps, a patio, countertops and a pizza oven. The complaints are about showing up. Four reviews from 2023 to 2025 describe missed appointments: a 2025 customer said Neil told them he was coming and did not show, many times, and that punch list work went unanswered; a 2023 Angi customer said they were stood up 5 times and the company did not respond to Angi's requests to arbitrate their dispute. In a 2022 Angi review, a customer said the joints Star redid on their front walkway turned brittle and fell out within weeks, leaving the stones loose. A 2024 Thumbtack reviewer objected to a 2k quote for a job others priced at 250 dollars. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration is active with the state registry.
Neil and his crew were super nice very professional quality work isn’t them in the spring to do some more sidewalk work. Didn’t even look for a second or third price before hiring showed me respect and professionalism. Great company because they are great people

Recommend with no reservations. Neil’s experience was instrumental in choosing the right design and material to rehabilitate a patio, garden walkway, stabilizing and rebuilding walls, and beautify and protect a new driveway. Not only did he direct his experienced team, he tirelessly worked along side them to meticulously oversee the project, respecting the adjoining garden. Not a plant or flower disturbed! He constantly communicated plans and progress and upon completion, returned to ensure the job was completed to his and our satisfaction.
Star Masonry, lead by Owner Neil and his team are extremely skilled and hard workers. Neil and his team were in constant communication throughout our project and went above and beyond to make sure they exceeded our expectations. Neil and his team consulted with us throughout the project and discussed any changes that would improve the original design. They also took it upon themselves to do more than the scope of the job which was greatly appreciated. At the end of each day, Star Masonry thoroughly cleaned the job site to ensure our pups' safety. Upon completion, Neil and his team left our property immaculate. Their primary goal is to do the best job for the customer and it shows. Neil and his team are amazingly talented and take great pride in their work. They are honest, trustworthy, courteous and professional. We highly recommend hiring Star Masonry, LLC.
