Storm Works Roofing & Restoration works out of Belmont, replacing and repairing roofs across the area. It holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, carries an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau, and its Google page runs 4.8 stars from 142 ratings. Reviews stretching from 2022 into late 2025 describe the same throughline: full roof tear-offs and replacements, done fast and left clean, with the owner, Sean Green, doing much of the fast-response work himself. In a 2024 review, one homeowner described Sean calling back within 20 minutes after a microburst damaged their roof, then showing up the next day to secure it before a run of storms. In a 2025 review, another customer said they'd gone two years without a returned call from a different contractor about a leaking slate roof before Sean called back promptly and had an estimate ready within a day. The scope runs from single houses to a 2025 job coordinating a church's flat-roof replacement around 54 solar panels that had to come off and go back on, and a 2022 tear-down-to-the-rafters replacement one customer said was cleaned up "almost like they were not ever there." Several customers came back for more: a 2025 review described four different roofs replaced for the same customer over three to four years, and a 2023 review noted a repeat hire for siding after Storm Works had already done that customer's roof. Two accounts are worth knowing about. In a 2022 review, a customer whose rubber roof developed bubbling along the seams months after installation described a slow runaround — repeated calls answered with "it's a curing issue" — that took roughly seven weeks to get someone out to look at it. And in a 2021 review, a customer who'd gotten as far as a scheduled estimate said Storm Works never sent it despite repeated follow-up calls and messages. Neither is typical of the broader run of reviews, but both point to the same thing worth pinning down before signing: get a firm timeline in writing, and keep follow-up in writing if anything develops after the job wraps.
I had a great experience pleasant, professional, and worth it. Highly recommend this service.
Storm Works did an excellent job on our full roof replacement. They also advised on unexpected conditions they discovered during installation and provided thoughtful recommendations and solutions. The final installation looks great and the crew did a thorough job of preparation and cleanup. Their warranty is also a sign of their confidence in their work. I highly recommend the team at Storm Works
After watching this crew install a new roof across the street from my house I decided to get an estimate for my own roof. That same day Matt showed up to do the inspection. I received an estimate within a couple of days. During the inspection they discovered that the attic was not properly vented since all the soffit vents were blocked off. They installed all new facia boards and soffits with continuous vents before installing the new roof and new gutters. They did a remarkable job and would highly recommend them.
The Storm Works team has replaced the roofs at 4 different houses in the past 3-4 years for me. The team provided reasonable quotes quickly, did a high-quality job at each house, and completed everything on schedule as planned. Everyone was professional, responded to my questions quickly, and made sure to clean up thoroughly at each site. Thank you very much, Sean and PJ! I would highly recommend Storm Works.
Matt and Sean did a great job with their communication and follow-through on our project following a free estimate. We had a full roof that needed replaced, including a rubber membrane area where we had prior water leaks. The work was finished about 5 months ago and we've had several strong wind and rain storms and so far so good. Winter is approaching, so we'll get another test but I suspect all will be well. I would (and have) recommended them to my colleagues in the commercial real estate business.
