Excellent service, Strout Brothers Moving took great care of the piano and both properties! Getting the instrument out was a maze and they made quick, careful work of it with all the right tools and tracks to get through a muddier than expected dooryard. They also took care getting the piano in and reset. We’re thrilled with the service and couldn’t have found better pros to handle this treasure for us!
Last summer we bought a cottage in Gouldsboro, Maine. We needed some furniture, so went to Merrill in Ellsworth. Nice furniture, and delivered by Strout Brothers. They brought the futon, queen bed, table and chairs in. Most movers would ask “where do I put this.” Not these guys. They spent 2 plus hours putting everything together. This is a professional company. So, when we needed to move a lot of things from our family home in Georgetown, Maine, up to our new home in Gouldsboro, we contacted them to help us. They were able to fit us into their schedule, and the move was flawless. I could say much more about the details, but at the end, these guys are the best. Hire them!
Strout Brothers Moving was recommended to us by a local antique dealer from which we purchased a beautiful and very fragile glass curio cabinet. I would never dare to move an item like this on my own. The Strout Brothers Team was quick to respond to my phone call for help, provided us with a very reasonable quote, and a date that worked perfectly for us and the antique dealer. The Strout Brothers Team arrived on time with the curio cabinet which was perfectly packaged to prevent any damage. The Team moved the curio cabinet into our home, unpackaged it and set it up in the desired location. The job was completed on time and within the quoted price. The Strout Brothers Crew was at all times helpful, friendly, and professional. We could not have been more pleased, and we will be sure to call Strout Brothers Moving whenever we need an item delivered or have the requirement to move any of our belongings. This summer Strout Bros were invaluable many times: packing antiques for shipment; moving heavy items like a cast iron cook stove & piano; moving and disposing of old appliances, unusable furniture, etc. They were friendly, hard working and reasonably priced.
Wow! I was so pleased with the work that Strout Brothers did for us. From the start they were responsive/easy to communicate with, courteous, had a super fair price, and were really good at what they do. What really impressed me though is that they are great problem solvers; they wanted to get this tough job (a big couch through a window, ultimately) right and they worked hard and creatively to get it done. 11/10, would use again.
