Summerland Homes and Gardens

Summerland Homes and Gardens is an Osterville, Massachusetts design firm. Its website describes a residential design firm offering interior design and landscape design on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, and throughout Massachusetts. A 2021 capecodlife.com piece says the business launched in 2013. In a 2025 Google review, a client whose dining room needed a refresh praised the new wallpaper, custom shades and slipcovered chairs, and called the communication, workmanship and installation excellent. A 2024 Houzz review says they brought a fresh aesthetic to a 250-year-old house, with the design work done from 200 miles away, and that the result was delivered on time and on budget. A 2022 review says Elle introduced wallpaper, window treatments and accent rugs, switched out hardware on a TV cabinet, and knew which period pieces would suit an antique home. A 2021 review says the team developed and implemented a plan for furniture, paint colors and subcontractors to get the job done before the move into the home. On the garden side, a 2017 Houzz review thanks Michelle for a front-yard garden design with gorgeous flowers. A second 2017 review says Elle brightened up a pool area with new perennials and annuals, and praised her design skills with pots and window boxes. In 2018, a reviewer who worked with Michelle on a garden design on Cape Cod for a mutual client called her prompt, professional and courteous. In a 2016 Houzz review of a bathroom renovation, the client said Michelle coordinated with "the supply house, the contractor, the counter guys, everyone" so that all that was left was approving color and fabric choices. Another 2016 review, of a renovation that swapped a tub for a walk-in shower, says a small bathroom now seems ample.
