In June 2026 a Google reviewer said installers Corey and Avery came back to fix a problem with one joint of a granite countertop, and praised how the shop's cutters pieced it together so one piece seemed to run right into the next. Surface Creations of Vermont is a Milton countertop fabricator; the company says it brings over four generations of experience with stone in Northern New England, serves the kitchen and bath dealer network and offers a one-week turnaround from template to installation. Google shows 4.5 stars from 96 ratings. WCAX has described it as a family-owned custom countertop business, and local TV news has reported a workplace accident at the shop. In May 2025 a customer wrote that measurement to install took only one week and that Corey and Joe did the installation. Another May 2025 reviewer had a waterfall island arrive with scratched sides; Corey explained the company would stand behind the work and return the next available day with new pieces. In August 2026 a customer described a rocky start at templating that turned around once one of the owners/operations managers stepped in, and called the installation flawless. In December 2025 a two-star reviewer said the countertop went in perfectly but the matching backsplash had gaps of 1/4" to 1/2" around window trims; after a second visit, caulk filled a joint the customer still found unsightly. An April 2025 reviewer said the install team chipped a quartz countertop while installing a backsplash, the repair stayed noticeable, and Surface Creations refused any financial compensation on a job of over $6K. In September 2024 a one-star reviewer said the templater made mistakes and the install team recut the granite dry in the kitchen, setting off the smoke alarm with dust. A November 2021 reviewer described four visits to finish a kitchen and bathroom vanity, with backsplash pieces cut to 4 inches instead of 3-3/4 inches and one cut too short. In a March 2022 review, a customer said two young installers vaped in the kitchen and the manager offered a $150 return-trip credit.

Worked with them to have replace countertops in collaboration with KOB in Shelburne. Great staff and overall experience!
Surface Creations completely earned my trust and respect, proving that customer service and pride in workmanship are still alive and well. To be honest, our project got off to a rocky start—I was very frustrated during the initial templating stage. However, once I properly escalated my concerns within the business, one of the owners/operations managers stepped in directly. They took full ownership of the situation, handled it with utmost professionalism, and turned the entire experience around, making me an enthusiastic advocate for their business. The actual installation was flawless, and the quality of their stone and craftsmanship is truly exceptional. Surface Creations is a authentic Vermont business that genuinely cares about doing the right thing and delivering top-tier results to hard-working Vermonters. If you want high-quality products backed by a team that stands behind their work, I highly recommend them.
Corey and Avery did a really nice job installing my granite countertop. There was a little problem with one of the joints, and they came back and fixed it with no issues. I am really happy with the way the cutters in the shop managed to piece together my countertop so that it looked as if one piece ran right into the next. I did not get a backsplash, but the white subway tiles that we put around go really well with the dark granite. I would certainly recommend Surface Creations to my friends.
Corey and Avery are personable and did a wonderful job installing our Quartz countertops and back splash, including a large piece filling the space between our stove and hood vent. Corey took the time to answer questions as well. Highly recommend.
Corey and Avery did a WONDERFUL job installing our new countertops today! The quartz is beautiful and the guys were so hardworking, professional and kind. We loved the entire experience from picking out the quartz to the final installation. Surface Creations, Corey and Avery have earned our greatest appreciation and praise! Very happy customers here!
