TEC Landscape Design, Inc. is located in Madison, Connecticut, and says on its Houzz profile that it has been designing commercial, residential, educational, municipal, religious and community projects in Connecticut since 1984. A local news site has listed Madison's TEC Landscape Design Inc. on a project team. In a 2015 Houzz review, a customer said John and his crew moved everything around in the yard; that customer said he grouped like plants, removed some beds and added low-maintenance material. A 2021 Houzz customer said the design was good but the implementation was flawed. That 2021 customer said the sod was never right, blaming severe compaction from the delivery trucks, and that many of the evergreens planted had died. The same 2021 customer said they had not been able to get timely corrective action and that responses to repeated messages were slow.

The design that TEC came up with was good but the implementation was flawed. The sod we had installed has never been right in that the trucks that were used to deliver materials was compacted severely which keeps the sod from growing roots. Additionally many of the evergreens planted have died since the installation over 2 ago. The biggest issue however is that I have not been able to get timely and effective corrective action on either of these issues. Response to my repeated messages is slow and has not addressed the root cause of the problems.
My yard was a mess, a "hodge podge" of what the builder planted and what I added. John and his crew came in and moved everything around so there was a more logical sense of scale. He grouped like plants, removed some beds and added some low maintenance material that will ensure we don't have to spend hours doing yard work each week. It's amazing how less can be so much more. Although we were not a new installation, I appreciated John's knowledge of plant material and his innate sense of practicality. Thinking of the long-term, he created a great aesthetic solution that will not require a lot of work in the future. I would highly recommend John.
