The Barn Yard's own site lists sheds, conventional garages, post-and-beam barns, barn homes, ADUs, timber frame pavilions, pool houses and horse barns, and the company says it has been in business 42 years. A recent Reddit commenter pointed to The Barn Yard in Ellington, CT, saying it did one for a family member fairly recently and that they believe it travels all over New England. A recent Google reviewer said the company set them up with two sheds, both delivered on time and put exactly where they were needed, and later built their horse barn, showing up when they said they would. A 2026 Google reviewer said The Barn Yard built a timber frame barn at their home in Vermont; that customer said project manager Tim kept them informed and that Lex and his crew worked through rain, snow and ice and stayed on schedule. A recent buyer of a 14'x30' shed had it delivered to New Hampshire and said the delivery team made sure it was level. In a 2023 review, a customer who works in construction said the company maneuvered two sheds through a narrow window on unstable ground. In a 2023 review, a customer said a custom barn was connected to their existing house by a breezeway, and that when the herringbone sliding doors were not what they wanted, the company redid them and said "we're not leaving until you're happy with them." A recent Google reviewer said the shed they ordered was not assembled properly and that the customer service and production were done horribly. A recent one-star reviewer who visited the lot said salespeople walked past without offering help and that a salesperson scoffed at a question about a cash deal. A recent reviewer said the company posts shed kits online that are renderings rather than ones it actually built.
βThis has us looking at the kit ones being offered by The Barn Yard, which seems a bit more predictable.β
βAlso another reason we were looking at Barn House kits from the Barn Yard.β

βThe Barn Yard in Ellington, CT did one for a family member fairly recently and it came out amazing. I believe they travel all over New England.β
βWe got our custom structure β albeit for our pool and outdoor kitchen β from The Barn Yard. Itβs a very high quality build.β
Arrived on time. The install was flawless.the guys were absolutely awesome that delivered our shed. The shed itself is exactly what we ordered and couldn't be happier. Would highly recommend. Thank you
The experience from start to finish was great! The sales staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. There are no hard sell pressure tactics. When you sign you are informed on time frame to build and contacted for site preparation and then delivery. The setting of the shed was fun to watch and did not take long. We are thrilled with our 10 x 16 classic cape shed. The quality of the workmanship is superior. We highly recommend The Barn Yard.
The team at the barn yard has set us up with two sheds. Both delivered on time and put exactly where we needed them. Recently the built our horse barn which came out amazing. They showed up when they said they would and put it up fast and efficient. We could not be happier with their work. Would highly recommend
I honestly don't understand how this place sells anything based on my experience. There were maybe three cars in the parking lot and approximately 6β7 salespeople. I walked around the lot looking at the buildings, and three different salespeople walked right past me without stopping to ask if I needed any help. I initially brushed it off, assuming they may have been busy with other things. I eventually went into the showroom to speak with someone. There was one person sitting at a desk to my left and another in an office to my right, yet neither acknowledged me. After waiting, the salesperson from the office eventually came out and spoke with me. Unfortunately, throughout the conversation I felt like I wasn't really being listened to. I specifically explained that I was interested in sheds, but he proceeded to show me various garage options instead. He then took me outside and showed me a few buildings before telling me there were additional sheds and garages at another lot within walking distance. I walked over there by myself and spent approximately 20 minutes going in and out of buildings trying to see what was available. Many of the buildings were already sold, which was only apparent by opening the door and finding a small red "SOLD" tag inside. As I was getting ready to leave, the salesperson drove over in a golf cart and told me that almost all of the buildings at that location were sold. This was extremely frustrating. If he already knew that most of those buildings were sold, I don't understand why I was sent over there alone to spend 20 minutes looking through them to find out for myself. He then told me he could show me additional options back at the original location, so I walked back over. He showed me one building that I was somewhat interested in, and I asked whether they would consider a cash deal. His response was to scoff and say, "We're a company of 100+ people. We don't do that kind of business." I'm still not entirely sure what he meant by that, but the way it was said came across as dismissive and made an already uncomfortable experience even worse. I ultimately decided not to purchase anything. I went down the street to Kloter Farms afterward, and the difference in customer service was night and day. I was treated respectfully, my questions were answered, and I actually felt like someone wanted my business. I'm not expecting anyone to follow me around the parking lot, but when a customer walks into an almost empty showroom and has to wait to even be acknowledged, then gets sent to another lot to look at mostly sold inventory on his own, it's hard to leave with a positive impression. Based on my experience, I won't be returning.
Excellent experience, Bill Nadeau was great to work with. We purchased a 14βx30β shed and had it delivered to New Hampshire. Everything went great, team delivering did an awesome job, making sure it was level and all set up properly. Highly recommend because of the quality of the Shed and the quality of the company.
