Kristin | The Ideal Home assisted with design and layout of multiple rooms and spaces in our new home on Cape Cod and was instrumental in providing expertise in sourcing furnishings and finishes. Working with Kirstin Tunks, the owner of Ideal Home, not only produced a beautiful design but was a tremendous experience. My wife and I have had many homes and worked with several designers. Kirstin was one of the best we’ve worked with. Kirstin took the time to understand what we had in mind, became familiar with the feel we wanted to create and led us in an appropriate direction. She worked diligently to provide us ideas, searched for furnishings and decorative items and assisted in any way she could with the purchase. She always provided several options and consistently allowed room for our own creativity. Where we would go astray, Kristin was artful in redirecting us. She also installed most items for us and spent the necessary time to ensure everything flowed together. Given our experience, we are working with Kristin virtually on the remodel of our Florida home. She is nothing short of outstanding!!

I've owned multiple homes working with architects and designers but never has it been so easy as with Kristin. She listens. She asks questions. She wants to understand your needs and likes, always with a smile. But, what's best is that she then starts to make a vision come to life. My open floor plan, which was new to me, just changed into a beautifully designed space once she started to make her changes and tweeks with lighting, paint, rugs and other seemingly small details. I worked with Kristin, the owner of The Ideal Home, recently on the design of our master bedroom suite. Kristin listened to our families unique needs and created a functional and comfortable place. Kristin designed and installed a custom accent wall in our bathroom. Kristin has an eye for detail and picked key pieces (including the most gorgeous rug) that added warmth and complexity to our bedroom; she created our sanctuary! Kristin stayed within the budget and was transparent throughout the purchasing process. Kristin installed all of the items, including a gallery wall, within a specified time frame. We could not be happier with the decision to work with Kristin on this project. She is not only professional, she is friendly and fun to work with! I could not recommend her enough.
