Transcend Maintenance Services

Diana Young started Transcend Maintenance Services in 2014 with a $2,200 tax refund, after years spent as a custodian and later a manager and VP of operations at other cleaning companies — that is the company's own account of its beginnings. Twelve years on, it runs out of 99 Cambridge Street in Burlington and cleans buildings rather than houses: offices, medical and healthcare space, cleanrooms, data centers, industrial sites and childcare centers across Eastern Massachusetts. Young still owns and runs it as president and CEO, and the company describes itself as woman-owned. Not much has been written about them yet. Google shows 4.3 stars from six ratings, and only two of those carry any text at all. The fuller one, posted in September 2025, came from a business customer who called the team professional and reliable and recommended them to any business looking to improve the cleanliness of its facilities. Two outside write-ups round out the picture. A feature on the SBA's own site describes the company as an SBA-certified janitorial provider with private and public sector clients across the state, and a New England industry association's post credits Young with more than 35 years in commercial cleaning and facility maintenance. Its BBB file, opened in late 2022, is unaccredited and unrated, listed under property maintenance, with no complaints or government actions on it. Fit is the thing to settle first. Everything the company says about itself points at commercial contracts and recurring janitorial programs, and its stated coverage runs Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Cambridge, Woburn, Boston and Waltham. For an office, clinic, daycare or plant in that corridor looking for a contract cleaner, this is a fair call: small, owner-led, a decade-plus of history, and a few quiet positive ratings behind it. A homeowner should ask outright whether residential work is something they take on, and ask either way for references from buildings like theirs — there is little written client history to lean on.
