Underwood Electric describes itself on its website as an electrical contractor providing industrial electrical services for businesses, and says it has 40 years in business. WAYNE L. KISER's Maine electrician licence, number MSS60004237, is active on the state registry. A 2023 customer said their service was ripped off the house in the early evening, and Mike came and worked with the power company so they had power that evening. That 2023 customer said Mike came back the next day, and that Bob later got them up to code. A 2022 customer praised Bob's hookup job. A 2023 customer left one star over a planned electrical upgrade, writing that there was no communication for a month, the owner's voice mailbox was always full, and nobody showed up when they said they would be out to start prep. That 2023 customer did credit earlier work on an electrical problem with their stove.
I’m leaving one star for the excellent work that was done by someone with this company previously to help us with an electrical problem with our stove. Other than that, however, this company has been completely unprofessional in handling an important electrical upgrade my family needed that was scheduled to be at the end of this month. No communication for the month, the voice mailbox of the owner is always full, and then when they said they’d be out this past week to get a start on prep they never showed up or communicated anything with us at all. We’re all trying to plan around this so we can install a heat pump, and now everything is a complete mess because they couldn’t be bothered to call or email. I understand contractor delays, but not communicating through this all is not professional at all.
In February our service was ripped off our our house, in the early evening. Called Underwood and Mike came and worked with the power company to ensure we had power that evening. Came back the next day to sure things up and get us thru the remainder of the winter! Bob came back a few weeks ago and got us up to code - we are now looking good and plenty safe!
Bob does an excellent hookup job
