We hired Vicki Hibbard to design the plans for our back and side yards. In both places, her ideas and their implementation totally transformed the space. The results far exceeded our imaginations and expectations. The project included grading sloped lawns, installing brick walkways, steps, and lighting. In the backyard, she also created a small and cozy patio space. In both areas, her suggestions for plantings were perfect for us. Everything she selected – flowers, shrubs and trees – are gorgeous to rest your eyes upon, while also being easy to care for. In addition to her excellent artistic and technical skills, Vicki has remarkable interpersonal skills. She truly listens to her clients and carefully considers all possibilities. She is honest, open, patient and flexible – and a delight to work with. She also diplomatically manages the cast of other characters involved – masons, landscapers, lighting experts, etc. In summary, we couldn't be more pleased. We now have a welcoming, beautiful and gracious side entrance (which usually functions as the front one) to our home. Hiring Vicki to design our backyard and front entry was the best home improvement decision we have ever made! Vicki designed a completely new backyard for us, transforming a crumbling concrete patio into a beautiful garden with antique style brick and bluestone pavers. The garden she designed fits perfectly into our yard and into our lifestyle! The plants she chose for the garden are just what we wanted to create an English-style courtyard that is charming, but also low maintenance with an irrigation system. She also created a separate outdoor dining area that is perfect for entertaining. Vicki also came up with a brilliant design for the front of our house, greatly improving the curb appeal of our home while creating a more private and elegant entry. Vicki is not only a talented designer, but she is also patient, answering all our questions, and she is extremely thorough, checking in and visiting during the construction to make sure everything is according to plan. She also has the best team of construction / landscape professionals that work with her to bring her designs to life. We are so happy with Vicki's designs and expertise—she has transformed our home into an oasis in the city and we are extremely grateful for her work.
