W & E Landscaping And Painting's BBB grade is D-, its BBB page lists complaints, and its written reviews split between strong praise and sharp complaints about price changes and follow-through. The newest written review, from May 2024 on HomeAdvisor, says the price changed 3 times on a job planting privacy trees, the trees were planted crooked and were dead 2 months later, and calls went unreturned. In a 2021 HomeAdvisor review, a customer who paid 30K$ for a large backyard retaining wall said it was built from rough concrete blocks left exposed, with rusting rods and no top caps. Another 2021 customer said the crew cleared plants they had been asked to leave, damaged the front walkway and missed appointments. Billing comes up in older reviews too: a 2020 customer was billed for weekly mowing on an every-other-week agreement, and a 2019 customer said the price agreed three weeks earlier doubled on the day of the job. The positive accounts on Angi and HomeAdvisor date from 2016 to 2021 and describe yard cleanups and plantings. A 2016 customer had shrubs planted with edging and mulch and a paving stone walkway installed ahead of schedule. In a 2017 review, the owner, Wellington, and his crew cleared a back yard of over 10 years of leaves, thorns and poison ivy. A 2017 Angi customer said their lawn fertilization program cost at least 15% less than the previous company's. On Thumbtack in June 2023, a customer said W&E finished an outdoor kitchen in less than a week, and another had three trees removed from the front yard. It holds 4.5 from 125 ratings on Angi and on HomeAdvisor.
Do not use this company! This is the worst company Iâ  ve ever worked with in my life. They changed the price 3 times on a job to plant some privacy trees and they planted the treeâ  s crooked and 2 months later they are already dead. They will not return your calls and are nasty belligerent people. Check out the BBB if you donâ  t believe me. Iâ  m in the process of suing them now. Donâ  t make the same mistakes I did. William and his team deserve to have their business license revoked. Horrible people, horrible business!
Working with W&E is probably the best thing I have done since buying my house. William has helped me so much from the painting the house to the maintenance of the yard. He knows what he is talking about. I will always recommend W&E.
I had an outdoor kitchen planned and after I met with one of the owners, I forgot his name, I decided to go with W&E. They did a terrific job and finished my kitchen in less than a week! - Matt…Read more
I had W and E remove three trees from my front yard. They did an amazing job they where extremely carful during the process I will definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone that need landscaping and hardscaping done.
They build of huge retaining wall in our backyard using rough concrete blocks meant for highway or industrial projects. They left it exposed, with rusting rods and no top caps. The cheapest and fastest way to build a wall, for as little as possible. But we still paid 30K$. You can look up pictures on a Goggle review I left. Be careful when considering a contractor. Ask for pictures of the finish product before you get taken for a ride. Amateurish. Incompetent. Mediocre designers.
