EV chargers, generator interlocks and shop panels are the jobs customers describe hiring Wells Electric for. The Bristol electrician is run by Chris Wells — a 2022 reviewer called him the owner — and Christopher M Wells holds Connecticut E1 electrical licence ELC.0206301-E1 for the business. Its BBB grade is A+. In a June 2022 review, a homeowner said Chris ran almost 80 feet of wire from difficult locations to install a 50-amp receptacle and EV charger, and kept them updated when the job took longer than expected. A March 2022 business customer said he set up the building inspection himself and the work passed on the first visit, and that he designed the shop's power layout for future upgrades. In November 2025, a customer said Chris wired an EcoFlow smart home subpanel for a new battery system, and an October 2026 reviewer said they have used the company on multiple projects. The one complaint is detailed. In a December 2025 1-star Google review, a homeowner said that after getting a quote in June, an email about the expired quote went unanswered, and on the day of a rescheduled appointment Chris texted that he was three minutes out and never arrived, with no reply in over a week. It holds 4.7 stars from 13 Google ratings, with written reviews from 2022 to 2026.
Wells electric has been a very excellent company that i have used on multiple projects. Chris is very precise and thorough.
Reached out to Chris in June for a quote. Very reasonable quote, however, I needed some time to save up. I noticed the quote expired so I reached out via email about the quote. Never received a response. Decided to inquire again via his website and set up an appointment. Received a text the day of the appointment that he was "about 3 minutes out" and then never showed up. I texted back and left a message and still have not received a response in over a week. Overall, communication is not good, but I do hope everything is okay as he did seem like a very professional person when I met him in the early summer. It appears the owner has replied over 1 year later to this review and due to the inaccuracy of his reply, I have decided to add screenshots of scheduled appointments and texts referenced above.
Great company! This team is solution oriented and always get the job done!
It was a great experience working with Chris. He wired up my EcoFlow smart home panel 2 (subpanel) for my new battery system. His attention to detail and making sure the system was fully operational was much appreciated.
In addition to being a professional painter, Chris Wells is skilled for variety of projects. My go-to guy, honest and dependable!
