A local news site has described William Kenny Associates as a landscape design firm owned by Bill Kenny, who also runs a plant nursery called NATIVE. In a 2023 review, a customer building an addition that encroached on the town wetlands map said the firm was the first of a few soil scientists contacted to get back, came to the home the next day, and produced a full report in a few days showing the addition did not encroach on the wetlands. A 2025 customer who hired the firm to assess a property for wetlands and provide a letter for the town said that, more than six months later and despite numerous follow-up calls and emails, the letter had still not been completed and the delay had held up a major project. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0636232, held by William Kenny Associates LLC, as expired.
“He’d been running William Kenny Associates LLC out of offices on Tunxis Hill Road for the last 15 years.”
“her husband, Bill, owner of William Kenny Associates, a landscape design firm, as well as NATIVE, a specialized plant nursery, have brought all their ventures together at one address”

I would not recommend William Kenny Associates. We hired them to assess our property for wetlands and provide a letter confirming the absence of wetlands for submission to the town. More than six months later, despite numerous follow-up calls and emails, the letter has still not been completed. This delay has held up a major project. The lack of communication and follow-through is extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
I was building an addition that encroached on the wetlands map provided by Fairfield. Conservation suggested I have the soil tested to confirm the location of the wetlands, so I reached out to a few soil scientists. Kenny Associates where the first to get back to me and were at my home the next day. I had a full report in a few days and it turned out my addition did not encroach on the wetlands! Very pleased with their speed and professionalism.
