Wilson Builders is David Wilson's outfit, run from a PO box in Greenfield with a street address on Shattuck Street. The permits BuildZoom samples under the name are older and scattered: three filings at a single Nahant address between 2011 and 2012 — a $60,000 kitchen, bath, windows and insulation job, new siding, then deck rot repair with a privacy partition the following year — plus attic insulation and air-sealing in Amherst in 2019. Three permits at one house is its own kind of reference; that homeowner kept calling back. That is the whole written history. Neither the BBB nor BuildZoom carries a customer review. The BBB opened its file in July 2018, names David Wilson as owner and contact, marks the company not accredited, and grades it 'Not Rated' — the bureau's own explanation is that it lacks sufficient information. Licensing is unsettled. BuildZoom shows the licence entry as 'Unable To Verify' and scores the company 0 for that reason. Ask for the registration number and check it directly with the state before anything is signed. For a smaller exterior or insulation job in Franklin County this may be a reasonable call, but nothing published speaks to how the work turned out. If a neighbour sent you here, their account of the job is worth more than any of it — and if nobody did, ask for two recent addresses you can go look at.
