Pavers and stone are the work here. Wright Landscapes describes itself on Houzz as "Specializing in all types of pavers and stonework," and the company says it has been in business for 21 years. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, number HIC.0621033, is active on the state registry under the name WRIGHT LANDSCAPES. One recent customer said their paver walkway was just completed and that neighbors who saw it and other local projects end up with "Wright Landscape" signage on their property too. A recent customer credited John's attention to detail and creativity in their new driveway. A recent customer said John did their front walkway and their back patio, and that both turned out well. A 2024 customer chose John because he had done their parents' patio 18 years earlier and it still looked great; that customer said he then finished a front walk and back patio. A 2024 reviewer who wrote as a high-end building contractor awarded John two granite-veneered driveway entrance walls, a 750 s.f. granite patio, a granite-veneered outdoor kitchen, and a granite walkway and wall cap at their own residence. In that 2024 review, John also installed the accent lighting and coordinated his work with the other subcontractors. A 2024 customer said they had used Wright Landscapes for projects large and small over the previous five years, naming John as the owner. A 2023 customer said a paver patio done a few years earlier looked great, but its grout was coming out, which the customer attributed, after a conversation with the grout manufacturer, to improper application. That 2023 customer said numerous calls, texts and emails to the owner over several weeks were "to no avail."
Wright Landscapes does not need my endorsement. Their work speaks for itself. Neighbors that have seen my paver walkway (just completed), and other local projects they've done end up with a "Wright Landscape" signage on their property too.
John was great to work with and did an amazing job. He attention to detail and creativity shows in our new driveway. The end result not only greatly improves the driveway but our entire home and surroundings.
John is an impeccable craftsman. He did our front walkway last fall and back patio this spring and they are both stunning. His attention to detail is part of his mastery - Sets a high standard for himself and his work and it shows in your finished product. I highly recommend him.
I decided to work with John because he did my parents’ patio 18 years ago and it still looks great. He recently finished my front walk and back patio and both are gorgeous! John is a pleasure to work with - he’s responsive, listens, shares his ideas and is extremely talented. I highly recommend John and will be working with him again in the future.
Being a high-end building contractor, I solicited bids from multiple masons for the construction of two granite veneered driveway entrance walls, 750 s.f. granite patio, a granite veneered outdoor kitchen, granite walkway and wall cap at my personal residence. These were major masonry projects involving complex phasing done simultaneously with a complete exterior siding project. John was the last mason to be interviewed and after discussing details and philosophies, I felt comfortable enough to award him the job at that point. John and I worked very well together with him asking me specific questions and answering my concerns and addressing my suggestions throughout construction. Not only did he do the masonry work, he also installed the accent lighting. He coordinated his work well with the other subcontractors so as not to impede the overall construction progress. Never did I feel I had to "babysit" him as I sometimes do with others. He went above and beyond his scope of work exceeding my highest expectations. Needless to say, John will be doing additional work at the house in the near future.
