ZB Construction is a Lancaster general contractor working on renovations, additions and new construction. BuildZoom lists an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration for the company, issued August 2025; that hasn't been independently verified against the state registry. The Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade, though the business is not BBB accredited and BBB's own file publishes no star average, review count or complaint history. The written record is short — two reviews on file, both on BuildZoom. A 2021 review describes a timely, high-quality kitchen renovation with a courteous, respectful crew. A 2023 review, describing work done in 2020–2021, started out pleased with a new deck and boiler installation, but the boiler developed a squeak that the manufacturer said needed the contractor's help to diagnose, and the homeowner later noticed what looked like mold on a deck beam and said ZB never responded to an email about it. Outside the reviews, a 2021 news article described ZB donating roofing materials to help a Lancaster senior get a needed roof repair, and a 2021 Reddit commenter named the company when asked for recommendations on historic-estate renovation work. Given how few written reviews exist, ask directly about post-job follow-up and confirm the license details before signing.

“Zb construction”
““We have connected with some amazing contractors,” Tarbell said, with ZB Construction offering to donate the roofing materials.”
In 2020-2021, Z-B built a new deck for us and installed a new boiler. Very pleased. Had an issue with the new boiler making a squeaking noise before firing up, so I called the manufacturer to inquire about this. The manufacturer recommended a new part and said the contractor installer needed to call them re: this part — not easy because the manufacturer’s lines are busy and Z-B is busy! Then, we noticed what looks like mold on a horizontal deck beam. I emailed Z-B and haven’t so far received a return phone call or email.
They came and renovated my kitchen. The work was timely and high quality. The employees in my home were always courteous and respectful.
