89 Home Remodeling works out of Everett, and the number that jumps out first is 61 five-star Google ratings and a 5.0★ average across 84 Thumbtack jobs — an unusually unbroken record for a crew this size. The written reviews explain why: the same names keep showing up as the actual hands on the work — Dave (also written David, Deivid or Deive across reviews), his wife, and a rotating crew that's included Ramon, Franciele, Apollo and Albert — and the same specifics repeat across years of reviews: showed up when promised, explained what was happening, cleaned up after themselves. The core of the work is bathroom renovation — full jobs down to the subfloor, new tile, new shower stalls, handled as one coordinated project rather than a patch fix. A June 2026 review described demolition and subfloor repair before the new tile and shower went in; other homeowners describe similar full remodels finished on schedule with clear communication along the way. Beyond bathrooms, the crew turns up doing real carpentry — building a deck, installing custom closets and hanging cabinetry and shelving, and, in a 2024 review, framing an entire second bedroom with new walls, a door and a closet, pulling permits and scheduling every required inspection. Smaller jobs get the same care: a leaky attic pipe fixed the day it was reported, loose stairs and shutters repaired, a closet repaired the same day it was reported. The business is a Better Business Bureau accredited business with an A+ grade, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. Reviews refer to the company under a few different names over the years — 89 Home Remodeling, 89 Home Services, 89 Construction & Home Service — which tracks with a small operation that's grown and re-branded rather than anything to be wary of. What to know before calling: there's no pricing detail in the record beyond customers repeatedly calling the quotes fair, and the review volume, while large, is concentrated on Google — worth asking directly about current scheduling given the level of demand this record suggests. For a bathroom that needs doing right the first time, or carpentry work that calls for an actual craftsman rather than a generalist, this is a name worth calling — just confirm the timeline up front.
“These are highly rated on Houzz: Just Woodcraft Inc, Steveworks LLC, 89 Home Services, Contrusty Carpentry - anyone have anything to share about their experiences?”
Deivid and his crew recently finished a remodel of our shower stall. Deivid provided great communication throughout the project, included us on the important decisions, and was always responsive to our concerns. Ramon did a wonderful job on the tile work. Demolition of the old shower and repair of the subfloor was a difficult task, but they did great work and did a great job cleaning up. We’re so pleased with the finished product!
My wife and I are delighted with our bathroom renovation by Dave and the team at 89 Home Remodeling. Dave is a pleasure to work with: patient, attentive, and with an eye for detail. I was happy that he did things the right way instead of what might have been a little faster or cheaper. Dave took the time to explain what was being done and why. If I had questions, he answered them patiently. The experience was smooth and the final result stunning. I highly recommend Dave and 89 Home Remodeling.
Dave and his wife did a great job replacing my deck. His communication was great, he came when he said he would, did a perfect job at the price he quoted. I will hire him for future projects as well.
Dave and his team did a beautiful job completing a bathroom renovation for me. In addition to good craftsmanship, he has excellent communication skills, was easy going when we needed to problem solve, and always set clear expectations about timelines and what to expect. He took the time to get my input along the way to make sure details were correct, and was careful about protecting and cleaning up the area from day to day to limit the disruption and mess during the process. I will happily hire him again and you should too!
This was my first bathroom renovation project and I'm really pleased with the finished product. Dave, Franciele and entire team were professional, responsive, and efficient. And the team took a lot of care to keep the rest of my house tidy throughout the process. The work was completed ahead of schedule, without sacrificing quality. Dave's work was very fairly priced and he went the extra mile to help me avoid unnecessary costs, helping to solve a pre-existing plumbing issue without having to invest in a pricy filtration system. Thank you Dave!!
