A Best Gutters' website says the company arrives with a truck- or trailer-mounted seamless gutter machine in the chosen color and finishes the average house in one day. The Colchester business says it has been at it 33 years, holds an active Connecticut home improvement contractor registration (HIC.0646855) and has 4.9 stars from 155 Google ratings. In a September 2026 review, a customer wrote that "The owner Peter was great to work with and gave a fair price for the gutters and installation," and that the two installers also put trim on the garage. In October 2026 another wrote that the workers fixed a piece of rotted wood the customer had not noticed, after Pete went over everything they would do. A June 2026 customer had a complete fascia and gutter replacement, switched from white to black gutters and added gutter guards. In March 2026 a customer replacing 40-year-old gutters chose the Alu-Rex Leaf Relief system with 6" gutters and larger downspouts after an assessment from Peter. In a January 2026 review, Peter and Ray did a small home with one-piece gutters and made no heavy sales pitch on guards. In November 2025 a customer wrote that when a splash guard came loose, Peter promptly came out and repaired it. In a May 2025 review, a customer who had been quoted a year earlier for new gutters, fascia wrapped in aluminum and vinyl soffits found the price was not going to increase when they called back. In a July 2023 review, Peter explained to the owner of an inherited house that fascia and soffit also needed replacing, and Ray moved downspouts to better locations; the customer had not had rain in the basement since. An April 2023 customer who wanted only gutter guards took Pete's advice on larger gutters and wrote that the spillage stopped. In July 2026 a reviewer wrote that Peter came out to look at water leaking over a gutter into a window, said it was not worth his time to repair and told them to contact a handyman. In a May 2024 review, a caller with old, clogged gutters that needed replacing wrote that the company would not service them for "insurance" reasons, and that the woman on the phone said it installs leaf guards but "will not replace gutters anymore."
Peter and the crew are fantastic to work with. Very professional, affordable and reliable. Would highly recommend.
Very happy with my new gutters. The workers were very nice and did a great job. They were even able to fix a piece of rotted wood for me that I didn't notice. Pete did a great job in going over everything with me that they would do. I would highly recommend
WOW!!!! What a wonderful job these guys have done for us!! Just absolutely professional from start to finish. If you don’t use these guys…I think you will make a mistake!! Awesome!!!
Excellent quality and service at a reasonable price. Couldn’t be happier with new gutter system.
From start to finish the job was done professionally and with the best care. The owner Peter was great to work with and gave a fair price for the gutters and installation. The two gentlemen that came to install the gutters and put the trim on our garage were polite and friendly. I highly recommend A Best Gutters for your job of putting gutters, you won't be disappointed.
