Highlights
- Long-running shop — in business since 1961, 65 years
- Clean BBB record — A+ grade, no complaints on file
A.J. Robbins Co. is a Worcester wallcovering contractor, supplier and designer wallpaper showroom serving both commercial and residential customers, running out of 540 Pleasant Street since 1961. Arthur J. Robbins, a central Massachusetts paperhanger, started the shop, and in 1995 it was bought by its current owner and her husband — a couple who met in the military, according to a 2020 Telegram & Gazette profile. The company describes itself as a woman-owned, veteran-owned business, and its Better Business Bureau file backs up the longevity: an A+ grade, no complaints, and a business start date of January 1961 — 65 years running. Anyone considering a commercial or residential wallcovering project should ask to see recent work directly, since what's on file here comes mainly from the company's own site and a 2020 newspaper profile.
