A Small Job LLC takes the household fix-it list: a window, a back-yard fence, a whole bathroom. The company lists a service area that includes Bolton, Coventry, Ellington, Glastonbury, Manchester, Tolland and Vernon, and it offers free estimates. A recent customer met with Ryan, the owner, who priced five jobs on the spot and was ready to start on Tuesday. That customer also wrote that the company could be more expensive than others. A recent customer said Ryan and his team have done at least a dozen projects at the house, from replacing an outdoor spigot to re-doing an entire bathroom. A recent customer said A Small Job installed a fence in the back yard; the job was more difficult than anticipated and took longer, and the customer is happy with the final product. Ryan replaced a window for a recent customer's mother, matching it because she lives in a condo association. In a 2024 review, a customer said Ryan and his crew rescreened a porch, fixed a leaky roof, replaced a storm door and unstuck a window. In a 2023 review, a customer whose patio door pane had shattered said Ryan came out the next morning and worked late into the night to finish the job. In a 2022 review, a customer said Kevin cut and installed a new piece of vinyl siding up near the attic vent. Price is where it went wrong for one recent customer, who was quoted $10,000 to lay subfloor and tile in a 7x7 area and patch a 4x7 piece of ceiling sheetrock, went with another company for $2,500, and felt taken advantage of because of their age. A recent customer who asked for a cost breakdown of supplies said the request was met with attitude.
Small Jobs LLC is a wonderful company owned and operated by a very hardworking and intelligent individual. They offer great services and exceptional work. I always recommend Small Jobs to anyone who needs "small jobs" performed at their home.
Very professional with communication and promptness. But price outrageous was going to be charged 10,000.00 to inlay subfloor in a 7x7 area and tile it and grout it and I was providing the tile and grout. Then they were going to replace a pice of sheet rock on the ceiling that was 4x7 and tape and joint compound it. No way is that cost 10,000.00 I went with another company and my cost was 2,500.00 and it is just beautiful. So be careful of the cost. I do some remodeling myself and I know prices and 10,000.00 was horrible. Felt I was getting taken advantage of due to my age.
Thank you, Ryan, for a detailed estimate and amazing flexibility. I will certainly call for future projects.
We've lived in our house almost 40 yrs. We've made improvements and have done lots of maintenance along the way. The worst experiences was all the time wasted finding reliable, talented people. Leaving our info and never receiving a call back. Or a call back but never showing. Or the job was priced out ready to go and never hearing back. In the spring we had list of jobs we needed done. Some more important than others etc. One company said yes but would need a month to finish their current job. 3 months later we kept hearing the same promise. Another chatty guy whose absolutely loved on the Neighborhood app said sure I can do that. 2 weeks later he calls to say he "doesn't do latters anymore" . Started my search yet again. I found "All small jobs" on line and filled out a request on line, on a Friday. On Saturday there was a response notifying me they received it and could we meet on Monday!! We met with Ryan, the owner. Super nice young man who explained their work ethic and how he runs a white glove service. We explained 5 jobs we needed done. One urgent for safety, another for delivery deadline. He looked at each job, priced them all out right there and gave us a quote, BOOM ! He was ready to start on TUESDAY. We were in. They have 2 lovely women who are in contact with you with any info you need. Heads up on arrival time. Or if any delays. Rely questions to Ryan whose in touch within minutes. They have people who are trained in various areas who stays in touch with Ryan throughout the day. If they see a concern they call him, he calls you and figure out the best way and cost to fix and move on. Every job was done by very polite and friendly men. Jim, Ben, Milton and Alix were our guys. Super happy the whole way through. All honesty you will find they could be more expensive then others but all our experiences, paying a little more was proof you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, we have also paid mid to high and also had some really bad work. You won't go wrong with All small job! They're our people for whatever needs we have. Ty for your time!
I Was very highly satisfied with the work that was done on my front trim, exceptional job, great workmanship, and very friendly workers. I would highly recommend this company to other people that need small jobs done on their homes.
