A to Z Softwash

A to Z Softwash is a Wareham-based exterior cleaning outfit built around one specific method — a soft, chemical wash rather than a pressure washer — and reviewers keep pointing to that choice as the reason it stands apart from other cleaning options. Google currently shows 5.0★ from 135 ratings, and the written record backs it up: 53 reviews from 2022 through today with essentially no negatives. The soft-wash distinction comes up by name. In a 2022 review, a customer said another company had pressure-washed and ruined their siding, and chose A to Z specifically because the crew doesn't use pressure washers. A 2025 review described the actual process: one worker applies a bleach mixture while a second follows behind rinsing with fresh water to protect plants and windows, a job that ran about five hours on that visit. Results aren't always instant, either — a 2025 Nextdoor post about moss and lichen removal from roof shingles noted it "takes months to work," though the results were ultimately what the poster wanted. Recent reviews from this year keep describing the same pattern: a house or roof getting a full cleaning, gutters and decks included, siding coming out looking new. Communication is the other recurring thread — Jill, described by reviewers as the owner, and office staff member Christina are named repeatedly for sending scheduling reminders, quoting based on square footage, and following up throughout a job. Crew members Zach, Wilbur and Matt are each named individually in reviews describing punctuality and care around obstacles — a 2023 review described a tech disassembling a rusted umbrella stand as part of one visit. Several customers describe using the company more than once, including one who called it their "only choice" going forward and another who said they'd been a customer "for a few years now." One repeat customer's 2023 review mentioned a mishap from an earlier visit that the company handled professionally enough that they kept using them — a real, if minor, blemish in an otherwise clean record. For roof, siding, deck or walkway cleaning on Cape Cod's cedar-shingle housing stock, the pattern across three years of reviews is consistent: a scheduled, communicated, soft-wash job — worth knowing the moss and algae results take time to fully show.
