One thing to be careful about before you call. BuildZoom's page states that this contractor "does not need a license to be a electrician in Massachusetts," and then contradicts itself further down. Massachusetts does license electricians, through the Board of State Examiners of Electricians, so treat that line as a directory error rather than information about this business — and ask for the licence number directly, then check it with the state. For a panel upgrade, an EV charger or a renovation rough-in in the Malden area, the permit history says this is a working, permit-pulling electrician. What it can't tell you is what hiring him is like, because almost nobody has written it down. Ask for two or three recent customer references, and get that licence number.
