  • Kitchen renovation wiring — a 2026 customer described circuits, outlets and canned lighting

Absolute Power Electrical Services is a Berwick electrical contractor that describes itself as specializing in electrical contracting and generator services, and says it has been in business 26 years. Its website lists a service area running from Kittery, York and Eliot through Wells, Kennebunk, Biddeford, Sanford and Acton. On Google it holds a 5-star average from 13 ratings, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+. Maine's state registry shows electrician license MS60019068 as active, held by Thomas Mitchell Jr. A 2026 customer said they called the company to replace an old fuse box and found the pricing very reasonable. A 2026 customer described electrical work done before buying their house, including GFCI-protected outlets and hardwired smoke detectors, and a big portion of a kitchen renovation: moving and adding outlets, dedicated circuits for appliances, labeling the panel and installing canned lighting. A 2025 customer needed an outlet installed for a generator and said the work was completed under budget. A 2024 customer who used the company as a subcontractor on a home renovation said Tom and his team worked with the appliance delivery teams to make sure everything got wired up correctly. A 2024 customer listed powering a tiny home, a cleanup of the electrical in a really old home and an emergency fix after a wire was cut by some contractors. In a 2022 review, a customer said Tom got an electrician out within a day or so for an emergency in a barn, and that Absolute Power was the third company to look at hard-to-diagnose outages in an old farm house and the only one that could fix them. A 2022 reviewer said Tom answered the phone on a weekend to help get a repair estimate during a short due diligence window. A 2022 customer said the workers covered the furniture and flooring while installing a ceiling fan and a light fixture and repairing light switches, and that the owner, Tom, reduced the final cost when the work took less time than estimated.

Called Absolute Power based on previous Google reviews to replace an old fuse box - could not have had a better experience! Excellent, prompt communication from start to finish - Tom and his team were professional, friendly, extremely knowledgable and informative. Pricing also very reasonable! Highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to call again.

Absolute Power has been fantastic to work with. They did electrical work for us prior to buying our house, making sure outlets were GFCI protected and installing hardwired smoke detectors, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. They also handled a big portion of our kitchen renovation, including moving/swapping/adding outlets, adding dedicated circuits for appliances, helping label our electrical panel, and installing canned lighting. Everything was done smoothly, professionally, and clearly up to code. Thomas is extremely friendly and responsive, and the entire team is a joy to work with. They made the renovation process so much easier, and we’re really happy with the results. Highly recommend.

Working with Absolute Power was an Absolute Pleasure! I had contacted Tom as a referral from a friend and I knew after walking through the site that Absolute Power was the right choice for the job. They provided a comprehensive quote, answered all my questions, and were able to work around my project's chaotic schedule. Multiple times Tom and his team (especially Matt) went above and beyond my expectations to help remediate any concerns I had and worked with my appliance delivery teams to ensure everything got wired up correctly. I cannot recommend Absolute Power enough; they were absolutely the best sub-contractors I worked with during my home renovation.

Thomas and his team are excellent, professional and so reliable. I’ve had all kinds of unique electrical things I’ve needed help with including powering a tiny home, complete cleanup of electrical in a really old home and am emergency fix after a wire was cut by some contractors and I can always rely on these guys to save the day.
