Randolph-based Accurate LLC runs on speed. Review after review — from a 2022 heat wave to a January cold snap to a furnace that quit at midnight — describes a call answered within minutes and a technician on-site the same day, sometimes the same hour. The company, also doing business as Accurate HVAC and Accurate Heating and Air Conditioning, is built around its owner, Paul, working alongside a couple of regular technicians (Don/Donnie, Eric) on furnace and boiler repair and replacement, central AC and mini-split installs, heat pump conversions, and water heater swaps. On Google, Accurate holds a 4.8★ average from 156 ratings, and that pattern of fast turnarounds runs through 88 reviews dating back to 2021. A 2023 review recounts Paul beating a competing furnace quote by about $4,000 after being reached through a Facebook Marketplace post. In a 2022 heat wave, a technician reached an 82-year-old's overheating home within two hours and Paul himself delivered more refrigerant ten minutes later when the first can ran out. Water heater failures come up often, too — a July 2025 review describes a broken tank diagnosed from photos and replaced within an hour, and a more recent review calls Paul transparent through a full install, down to pushing for a warranty replacement. The gaps that show up run toward installation follow-through rather than response time. A December 2025 review describes a gas furnace leak that was never fully resolved after two promised return visits — one for a job Paul said he'd already be nearby for, one scheduled around Thanksgiving — came and went without him showing. Two older reviews, from 2021 and 2022, describe a similar pattern on bigger installation jobs: a propane conversion kit that was never installed and a cracked heat exchanger on a brand-new furnace, each escalating to a small-claims case the owner skipped and, per the reviewers, never paid back. A 2023 review echoes the same pattern, with the reviewer stating Paul asked for the good review being posted while separately describing unresolved customer disputes and court matters. For a straightforward repair or a same-day swap — a dead AC on the hottest day of summer, a water heater that quit overnight — the record here is fast and consistent. Before committing to a bigger installation job, it's worth asking directly what the plan is if something needs to be redone under warranty, given the handful of accounts where that didn't go smoothly.
“Highly recommend Accurate!! My furnace went and me and my daughter was left with no heat. I made a call to Paul and he came right out. Paul was very personable and professional and the price was great.”
AC condenser went down so we have to find someone come immediately but everyone is overbooked due to 90s degree. Few company charging 199 for “emergency visit” but that’s on Sunday and Monday. Weird how that’s even considered emergency anymore. I called Paul and he came after finishing up a call few hours later. He got it fix and up running within an hour. House is now sitting comfortably at 70. He also recommended condenser cleaning which is been totally neglect for 6 years.
Paul came late at night to fix our AC and ever since, he’s been our guy!
Paul was very quick to respond to my request for service. He took care of my AC. He and his assistant were friendly and knowledgeable.
He did an amazing job very accommodating and got my central air up and running in no time.
First 93 degree day and thermostat wasn’t working. Called and Paul said he could come out after noon. My husband and I are in our 80’s so don’t do well in the heat. He came at one worked about 2 1/2 hrs, switching the thermostat, checking our circuit breakers, switching filter and checking compressor. Price was reasonable for all that he did. Highly recommend his company!
